Helmut Marko himself said that Danny Ric’s lap times were “competitive on three different tire sets” during the test, so they definitely did see something they liked.

As much as Nyck’s performance at Monza last year was a fairytale story that got him a drive, there’s a reason he didn’t get into F1 immediately after sewing up the F2 championship. He did the latter only on his third year (compare with drivers like Russel, LeClerc and Hamilton who did so on their first year) against…
Patrick has invited guests to talk about aliens secretly living among us, how the truth about UFOs being kept from the public, and weird ideas about the pyramids. You know, normal stuff from someone who should probably also stay off the racing commentary circuit.
So you’re saying she has weird people on her podcast so it’s not boring and might attract listeners? Gotcha, thanks for letting all of us know.
Is anyone else tired of people complaining about competition? It’s racing and machine development, maybe with a hint of ‘cheating’?
Too many new F1 fans that believe 2021 was somehow normal. That season is your once every decade scenario.
Red Bull currently has the best car design team in the world. They just built by far the best car for this set of rules. Max is also probably the best driver. In addition, their pit stops are the fastest on grid, and their strategy is consistently good. They are like the 1996 Bulls right now. I think we just have to…
Isn’t wearing that like wearing a billboard that says “Con me, I’m an easy mark”.
Isn’t there also the fact that Takahiro Hachigo, who made the initial decision to leave the sport, stepped down as CEO in April of 2021, and that his replacement, Toshihiro Mibe, was more open to staying?
Everything you’re suggesting as a solution is unrealistic.
It’ll happen. I won’t say there’s nothing to worry about, but it’ll be just fine by the weekend.
I American, I cringed. Will.I.Cringed
Are you really complaining about the drivers not zipping up their suit or drinking while being introduced?
Formula One isn’t about constantly changing order though. It’s about being fast in qualifying and consistent for 50+ laps during the race. People who understand what it takes to perform at the F1 level appreciate each race even without constant changes in the running order. The same way adults enjoy a glass of good…
While that battle was epic. I think it is a case of selective amnesia. A lot of the reces in the past were no better than today. Back in the time 1/2 of the cars would fail to finish and sometimes the 2 - 3 leading cars would be days ahead of the rest.
Yeah, I have to agree with your take. I’m in it for the nuance and the incremental war of tenths of seconds over the season. Even if Red Bull seems to have it in the bag, they may not AND I’m interested in the matches from 2nd on as those affect driver shuffles, team management, sponsorship and thus the tech and…
Why do Americans add cheerleaders to everything? I do not get it.
You’re telling me that someone on Twitter both misconstrued a report AND overreacted?
I don’t really get how anyone can put Hamilton ahead of Senna, but not Schumacher. If you’re applying the “but he won so many more races than Senna” argument, then that applies just as much to Schumacher as to Hamilton (the one big difference is that Schumacher never lost to his teammate, whereas Hamilton did). I’m…
Pironi had the pleasure of holding the lead through his home race in France, all the way to the Austrian Grand Prix, when Rosberg proved unstoppable.
