Max is 5 months older than Russell.

Impressive.

According to Marko, Gasly has two more years on his Red Bull deal.

First of all, Gasly isn’t available. Even if he were, why exactly would Mercedes go for him when they have Russell available?

I’m sure Esteban will be overjoyed upon learning he’s a Le Mans podium finisher without ever having driven there.

Absolutely great to see them walk away.

Double waved yellows come out after a crash. For rain, it would be a yellow and red striped flag. Which wasn’t out, the track was clear until the spins occurred.

You should thank Jean Todt, who actually pushed it through against massive opposition from drivers and fans.

I’m not saying he’d be particularly interested to go up against Verstappen but remind me... who have Red Bull screwed exactly?

Red Bull would jump all over him. They’ve basically admitted as much.

He might not have been the outright fastest driver ever. And ‘greatest’ is largely subjective and entails more than just driving.

I think you’re spot-on. While Herta is the one guy who might be able to stick in F1 on merit, it would be a pretty big gamble as he’s never faced F1 level competition before. And F1 level of competition, for some reason, is still routinely underestimated. He’ll have to do better than just outpacing the Grosjeans and

Indy is technically still Grade 1.

Is there a reluctance to go overseas, though? There’s currently 4 Americans in FIA F3, with an additional two in Euroformula.

Don’t wanna jinx it, but there are rumors that Indianapolis could be a potential replacement for Japan, but only if Turkey is cancelled as well. A doubleheader at COTA would be another option.

It’s always been somewhat of a mystery for me why F1 doesn’t have a Qatar GP. Not that I’d particularly want them to go there, but with a Grade 1 circuit and oil money it seems to be right up F1’s alley.

Had to do a little digging, but in fact he did compete in his most recent FIA event (F2) under an American racing license.

The reason the superlicense points are so low for US feeder series is because the level of competition is just really low. The strength of field just isn’t there, so they can’t in good conscience award higher points numbers. It’s absolutely vital for young talents to go up against strong opposition in order to develop
