Kudos on getting only about half the things mentioned in this recap wrong.

Also... started his own commercial airline!

Hey, remember when he was involved in 7 start crashes in his first 12 races in 2012? Or when he became the last driver to get a race ban for causing an accident that took out two title challengers and cost Alonso the title? Well done indeed.

Completely agreed with the last part. Kimi is one of the most overrated drivers in F1's long history (fun fact: apart from Nico Rosberg, Kimi is the only driver in history to have won 15 GP’s or more — while his teammates had a higher number of total victories). Keke Rosberg and Hunt aren’t even remotely in the

This. It’s also what I expect Red Bull to file as new evidence. Looking at the TV telemetry, in his 2020 qualifying lap (a 1:24.3) Lewis turns into Copse corner at roughly 310 kph. For reference, this year’s pole was a 1:26.1, showing the amount of downforce that was lost by the regulation changes.

Except that historically, this hasn’t been proven true at all.

From 92 (his first full season) to his first retirement in 06, Schumacher won a GP every year. In 92, 93, 94, 96, 97, 98, 01 and 05 his teammate didn’t win one, in most years they didn’t come particularly close to winning one. Hamilton has generally had better opposition, but only in 09 and 18 did his teammates not

I don’t recall a Red Bull being involved in that one.

Masi is not a steward.

I don’t think Bottas is washed up or anything, but I don’t see what his championship standing has to do with it. That’s just a bad argument. We’ve had washed up guys finish in the top 4 before, and in a Mercedes, anything outside the top 4 would be an absolute embarrassment.

Ehm... Apart from 2009 (Kovalainen) and 2018 (Bottas), Hamilton’s teammates also won at least 1 GP in each of his seasons.

There’s also plenty of drivers who will never be in a situation where the world champ retires after the season, with limited drivers available and your own manager and previous co-owner of the team you’re driving for making the call on who will succeed him.

Here’s a full list of Valtteri’s genuinely good weekends so far this season:

He’s 4th in the standings behind a McLaren. Context is everything.

Would’ve been helpful to mention that Toto was part of Valtteri’s management team for the better part of a decade before he became a Mercedes driver. Certainly, there’s some loyalty there, and he doesn’t want Bottas to be without a seat for next season. I’m assuming Bottas has already been told he won’t return, to

Don’t worry, it’s not a series for 14 year olds. You can actually join when you’re 12.

It was actually pretty good, the reason it was replaced was because of the lack of on-track action for the people attending the event.

I see your point, but it’s also not really true. NBA games are officiated quite differently in the regular season than the Finals, and star players are regularly ‘protected’ by the officials in most sports.

I don’t want to blame the sprint race, but it definitely played a major role in the crash. Given only one hour of practice on Friday, the setups were locked before Friday qualifying. Mercedes settling on an ultra low drag setup surprised Red Bull, and there was nothing they could do to counter it since the car was

OK thanks.
