I have Yorktown as the song I hear when I’m coming uphill to get home. There’s something about “the world is upside down” that makes me pedal harder...

To be fair I was joining another yarn and I probably counted the stitches wrong,so that’s on me. But I was working on a cable stitch blanket going off some patterns I’d already done, and it’s going to turn out something like this:
ELIZAAAA!!!
Me too. I’ve never been there and I’d been told there are so many racists there... I gotta say their fighting spirit beat out their racists... I’m glad to see that’s how it turned out!
Thanks, that’s pretty much it. I’m actually a green’n’yellow lady (as I’m from Brazil) in a red state but to my mind if you have half a brain and half a heart you’re blue... So we’re not so far apart ;)
I was working on a blanket for which I’d created my own pattern until the stitch count went wrong... Now I’m starting over... Will post when I have more... Meanwhile, your “ew, people” is EXTREMELY accurate...
IDK, I just adore Victorian houses... Just go up there, make peace with the ghosts and live your best life, those houses are gorgeous!
Sometimes cheeses, wine, dogs, and American History can do the trick.
:O fuck off asshole driver, John Oliver’s the SHIT. I live in NW Arkansas and I’m a bleeding heart liberal. Your driver can fuck off, for lack of a better term. There’s intelligent life away from the coasts, tyvm.
Boston is said to be a racist’s wet dream (I’ve never been so I was worried) but it turned out great, I’m so happy! I’ll drink to that *clink*
Men are shits. They just are. All of them. Just try to find an outlier, then you’ll be okay.
Most days, I’d say. Willow and I go out or bike rides and she hides under the bed so that she doesn’t have to go too. When she goes I get out out of her seat so she has to walk around the park track...
I love this thing Americans have, they have so many options of great places to live in. If I could be around my family (and if they were great people to be around) I’d move in a heartbeat. Go. NYC is great, but you’ve experienced it. Go be around your family, in a vibrant city. If things go to shit we’ll welcome you…
Irk? Willow overheated and was just like “okay, I need to get into a car with A/C right now” so I had my husband come pick her up for the rest of our bike ride. It was too much for her. Meanwhile, Amy was home like “what, you went out in that heat? Bish you cray!”
Nope, the doggies are the reason we live!
I’m in NW Arkansas and I’ll be going to St. Joseph, MO. There’s a lot of fearmongering going around but wherever we are we’ll just look up and hope to see the totality... How you get to see it too!
Ikr? I thought they’d forgotten about us here. Hey man, come to NW Arkansas! I’m here, the city is booming with art, shopping and great people, except we’re around Arkansas :/ we need more liberals in the South to help things turn around! I’d welcome you with open arms!
I do! Granted, Willow had to be rescued by car from today’s bike ride because she overheated - but she’s a great dog nonetheless!
Thanks! There was brie, Gouda, mozzarella and prosciutto, and now I’m desperately trying to convince my husband (who’s not into musicals) that Hamilton is the best thing ever. I think he’s finally agreeing with me. C’mon, the Roots said so!
