Frozen is NOT allowed. I need my sanity!

Amy was enjoying my moisturizer and I was simultaneously trying to shoo her away and take the picture. Didn’t work out so well.

I was very much into Blur way back when, I’ll get The Universal and Tender in there. And I’ll check out the rest of the stuff you mentioned, as I don’t know it yet.

Oh yesss. I’ve got Radio GaGa, Bohemian Rhapsody, Under Pressure, We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, and Killer Queen. Am I forgetting anything?

Now playing

Oh, Queen is there, you bet. They love it. I introduced them by way of the Bohemian Rhapsody version the Muppets made, it’s hilarious:

The lip shade was the same, and by God I can’t wear that. I just think I got irrationally angry at the self-tanning wipes I got, because Sephora disappoints me with how little research and customer input they’re relying on for putting these boxes together. If they had a more thorough questionnaire they’d know some

It’s OPI alright, in Miami Beet. I saw it and didn’t think twice!

Did you like your Sephora Play? I wanted to toss mine in the garbage! There were self-tanning wipes I’ll never use, a lipstick that brings out all the redness in my face and a meh perfume sample. The hair products might be good though, haven’t tried them yet. But it’s risking cancellation :/

It’s been two weeks and going well for the most part. She’s INSANE in the mornings (jump-on-the-bed-and-bite-and-lick-my-whole-body excited) and I hope it gets better as she ages. She also has a tendency to take our stuff (shoes, socks, my bras) but it’s only mild destruction, if any. She’s one year old, so that’s

Will take a look! Thanks!

Ooooh Erasure! I LIVED for them when I was 9. I’d forgotten about it!

As someone with exceedingly shitty teeth I’ve been using a (very) diluted bleach solution (1 part bleach to 24 parts water) 3 times a week in my waterpik ordered by my dentist. I hope to not have such a bacteria-ridden mouth at some point. Don’t know if it’d help with your issue though.

Yay you, trial lawyer by day and singer by night! :D

They’re 7 and 5 and big Disney fans. I hadn’t thought of that, thanks!

I have The Sound of Silence (kids love it) and Like a Bridge Over Troubled Water. Also The Obvious Child because it features Olodum and my kids would be bad Brazilians if they didn’t know Olodum. I have You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman with Aretha on vocals but it was written by King, right? Does it count? :P

Knitting takes away some of my stress because I had to learn it by myself and it made my attention focus solely on getting it right. Still had to restart a million times but it’s part of the process. Highly recommend some manual hobby that takes your mind off your worries.

I’m taking a 9-hour road trip with my kids (hello Houston!) and for that end I’m putting together a playlist of essential music everyone should know. I’ve got a little bit of everything in there but I’m sure I’m forgetting something. What songs do you think are important to know?

I’m into non-fiction, so here are my recommendations: Smoke Gets in Your Eyes by Caitlin Dougherty (from Ask a Mortician) is delightful. So is Agorafabulous, by Sara Benincasa. Blackout, by Sarah Hepola, is a brick to the head, but I found it very illuminating.

From my grandmother it was totally expected, given she was a foul-mouthed, beer-drinking, out-dancing-all-night old lady who couldn’t give two shits if she tried. Still pretty jarring though!
