I'm out too. (Of course, don't be surprised if the changeover doesn't happen when expected and I'm back tomorrow commenting as normal.) Increase the peace, everyone.

NBD.
It was definitely after Jesse Owens wasn't invited to the White House.
ROCK-N-ROLLER RACIAL WARS
I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMOOOORE
Really, saying "white supremacists are assholes" shouldn't be a partisan political thing, but here we are.
That was actually interesting. I'd never really thought much about how "drums with reverb" pretty much defines the sound of the eighties.
You mean THE GREATEST DRUM SOUND OF ALL TIME?
I just wanted to say that this is fucking funny. Bless you.
If Marty was actually directing, this would fall under "so crazy it just might work". With Phillips directing…keep it. Can't see how this is a good idea.
Did you know racism had gone until he was elected?
Didn't Alex Jones say it was all "Jewish actors" or something? Then someone threw coffee on him. That was dope.
If nothing else, you can ask Rachel McAdams to pass on the message.
I actually disagree. Kate Hudson is pretty crap in general, but she was perfectly cast in that film. Polley has too much of a cynical edge to have pulled it off.
The original Dawn is a classic. But man, some people give it way too much credit for the "satirical" aspect. Yes, zombies in a shopping mall. Whoa. Trenchant.
But it didn't bomb? I get the feeling that Polley just does whatever she wants. Also, the film was shot in Ontario, so she probably just drove down the road to film it.
"All of the internal monologues that Morrissey, the character, delivers are fiction"
I'm definitely gone. Kinja is not conducive to actual conversation, which is what I enjoy here.
No. Just one.
That doesn't even fucking rhyme! "Rapping teacher" my arse!
Well, if you actually used a picture from the first film, it wouldn't have Jason in it and some people would be confused.
