The 93 movie was made by ambitious, visionary pop artists at the top of their game. This movie is made by the minions people. There’s no way this film will be as weird or as much fun as the old movie.

Italian-American here: I don’t give a shit if Chris Pratt is Italian or not, nor if he offends Italians. Who I honestly don’t think give a shit about Mario that much one way or the other, unless my relatives have been keeping this a secret.

I am very highly amused the Petruchio was the inspiration for Mario’s voice and will have to pull that out whenever I am taking Shakespeare.

I have put ZERO research into this so pardon me if it exists, but reading about the old school demo disks makes me wish platforms like PSN or Nintendo Online just had, like, a little app that pulled you into a screen similar to those halcyon PSX demo days. Miss those immensely.

This has got me thinking... why arent there more mushroom kingdom titles featuring playable female mains?

This is basically the pain I felt in Mario Kart 7 when Waluigi didn’t get in, but Lakitu and Queen Bee did.

There’s an austerity to Conan the Barbarian that I wish more filmmakers had employed when sword & sorcery flicks were having their brief moment back in the early-to-mid eighties. And one which I hope is utilized in the likely inevitable revival of the genre.

Two words:  True Romance

Aw, no mention of Basil Poledouris’s legendary score for the film? It practically makes the movie. Conan’s prayer to Crom intercut with Thulsa Doom and his riders closing in as the sweeping music plays always gets to me.

Counterpoint: it’s fucking annoying when movies do that.

I love it when this dude actually acts. King of New York, Seven Psychopaths, Hairspray; he’s a legit phenomenal performer when he’s asked to do more than just be a living meme.

I know I’m a bit older than most streamers’ target audience (33), but I don’t understand why multiple people would watch a streamer just... cook. She’s not known for her cooking talents if she’s lighting her kitchen on fire, right?
