Advertisers aren’t afraid of sex, they love sex, sex fucking SELLS...

True enough, and I admit my comment was not me at my most articulate. I more meant why they are running away from any sexual content they, themselves, aren’t using to hawk their wares.

What is with the increasing Puritanification of the internet? I mean, I know what it really is--advertisers are afraid of sex and everyone needs that sweet, sweet ad revenue--but it’s so out of control. Anyone who’s a sex worker, sex worker adjacent, or even sits in a hot tub on camera has to constantly worry about

I was hoping to be able to justify dropping $60 on games I already played dozens of times, but the PC version of the Mass Effect remasters is sounding pretty grim for those of us who prefer mouse and keyboard, and I don’t have any other up to date consoles. So maybe I’ll check out Resident Evil Village? Or maybe just

That’s weird, it’s been a few years since I played, but I definitely don’t remember his short scene as being abusive in ME2. I was probably not thinking critically back then, to be honest.

Oh, you know it!

Poor Kaiden. I actually don’t dislike him as a character at all, I think he’s a bit bland but in a likeable and reliable way. As opposed to Ashley, who’s bland in an always-incorrect space-racist way.

Fuck Thane, then marry Thane, then kill Thane humanely so his suffering can end.

Every time he’s in a movie, I’m happy to see him there. In Blade Runner 2049, he had one scene and damn near stole the show from the likes of Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford. With, again, one scene. At this point, even when he’s in a total piece of crap movie I’m glad because hey, at least he’s getting paid, good for

Cancel culture appears to be a myth most of the time for powerful white men, but alas, not if you’re a person from a marginalized group with a moderate sized platform.

I can’t tell you whether you should or should not accept people’s apologies (we agree, for what it’s worth, that LaKeith Stanfield’s apology seems genuine), but I can say that the idea that Natalie Wynn has repeatedly defended Buck Angel is completely untrue. Further, that tweet above is clipped out of context from a

I haven’t played 3 yet, but Hitman 1 and 2 are so good, and if you purchase them you should be able to play them in Hitman 3, including any QoL improvements. At least, that’s how it worked importing Hitman into Hitman 2. And the missions are super fun, well worth playing, in my opinion.

I’ve honestly never played one specifically because people only ever talk about what a system hog it is and not how fun it is, which strikes me as a bad sign.

Basically every month is backlog month for me, because I spent probably more than a decade without any new consoles or a PC that could play any game worth a damn. Now that I’ve got a Switch and a decent PC, I’ve got, oh, probably 100 games to catch up on currently. I’m making a decent dent, at least!

I don’t have a great sense of direction, and I would honestly not be surprised if next time I’m in Akihabara I fail to realize where I am at some point because of this. I definitely have used that sign to orient myself more than once!

Thanks for the info! That is good to know (and yet another reason I don’t do preorders anymore no matter what, hah).

That’s not a bad point. Personally, if the game is fun I’ll often pay the price (and even 25 years after its release, I still have $10 or even $20 worth of fun with Diablo), but things go on sale so frequently that it makes more sense to wait.

Well I mean, I get it. As I’ve said, I’m not interested in multiplayer at all, unless it’s something like my partner and I playing Mario Kart or Tonight We Riot or something side by side. Online multiplayer or shooter multiplayer has never been for me. But I too would be bummed if a feature I really dug was being

Oh, fabulous! Thanks for the tip. Last time I played it was probably 8 years ago because after that the game just was too difficult to get running.

Multiplayer’s not my thing, even good multiplayer, so I never played it. I am surprised that hater of all things single player EA isn’t bringing that back, especially if it really is still that popular 9 years later. Maybe down the line as a paid DLC loaded with predatory microtransactions? Let’s hope not.

Not a big fan of Activision Blizzard so I doubt I’ll be playing this, but it’s certainly tempting once it’s out. I sure loved Diablo II back in the day, especially the first half of the game. Actually the first Diablo remains my favorite, it had great atmosphere and holds up relatively well today, if you can get it to
