They’re all specific. Gotta remember, there’s no tone in type.

Lol, I thought you were going to say something like that. Thanks for this.
Yeah, but “Room full of Nightmares” made me laugh for hours afterwards, so all is forgiven.
What anti-men stuff did you see in this movie?
I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. I had no doubt that it was going to be funny, but it very much exceeded my expectations. I’m still twitching a bit over the Patti character, but it was a really good time at the movies.
Sometimes, gay-coded characters are more fun to watch than openly gay characters.
There was literally ONE “fart” joke.
Same! I was 2 when the original came out. I’ve seen it so many times I wore out at least one VHS tape. I’ve watched all the cartoons, I even watch GB2 every New Year’s Eve. This movie has reignited (or rather stoked the fire of) my passion for Ghostbusters in general and I just want MORE!
I have a feeling you went in wanting to hate it, and you did. The audience in my showing was laughing throughout the entire film, including the woman in her 80s sitting next to me. I was a skeptic myself, but I was wrong. Art is subjective, sure, but it can’t do anything to sweeten up the flavor of those sour grapes.
Same, though my primary motivation is that I freaking love Ghostbusters (and have for 30+ years) and I want to see more of it, period.
I can imagine 4/chan (but I would never visit to confirm), but Reddit is definitely having a conniption over the fact that the movie not only got good reviews, it was successful. They bombarded a thread where an analyst said the movie would need 45-55 million dollars opening to be successful with predictions that it…
I mean, let’s be honest with ourselves. You hated this movie with the fire of 10,000 suns from the moment you laid eyes on the first trailer (perhaps before, but I first saw it after the trailer). You showed up on every single post about it to talk about how much it was going to suck. You weren’t going to like this…
I won’t lie, I am really enjoying the lengths the babies of the internet are trying to go to find any reason to call it a “failure”. It is so enjoyable, especially when we get quotes like this that make it clear the studio is (publically at least) happy.
Sure you didn’t accidentally walk into The Legend of Tarzan or something? Cause there was actual applause in the theater after the credits started to roll where I was
They just did. There are now 3 Ghostbuster films, I’d say this was the second best.
And here come the bros to try and tell the executives what actually constitutes a success. Because clearly they know more than the studios that do the projections and estimates.
I saw it twice. The problems I had after the first viewing weren’t as noticeable the second time around.
You mean to tell me no one’s childhood was ruined and everyone survived this apparently worst movie ever?
Hooray! I really enjoyed it and hope the sequel is equally as fun and good and not like the other Ghostbuster sequel.
