As someone who lived through a parent who fell into the hole of alcoholism and, after several regressions, finally got it under control, I can empathize and agree with the good Dr. It sucks... a lot... But it does end, and selfish as it feels, it has to end with you looking out for yourself until the person is ready

I have a 2-300 Toto bidet and it is absolutely a life changing purchase. I can’t recommend it enough, and if you believe in splurging (or splooshing?) a little one something you’ll use daily, it’s a good investment. I’d definitely stick with a Japanese or Korean brand if you can.

I don’t think that’s the case, or rather I’d argue that at worst it’s the adults who don’t want to be penalized. Kids (on average) have almost unlimited time and limited resources, so they can dig in and bash their head against something until they finish it. Adults (on average) have limited time and comparatively

This will make the 500 moon level which I just unlocked very very marginally less cumbersome to restart. Yay!

Also, that Bowser ability will be REALLY nice for post game cleanup.

I need someone who is more familiar with @dril to find me the tweet for “political climate inside Washington has made it impossible for me to receive balanced and fair consideration for this position.” because as far as I can tell that’s a direct quote.

Ugh, once every six months I think about my star and miss it terribly.

I love this costume but bailed on it early since it strips most of Mario’s expressions.

DAMMIT! I bought the $60 refurb ya’ll highlighted on deals a week or two ago because I thought, surely, there will never be an interesting ax head 2DS, and certainly not one close to $60. Damn you Nintendo.

I think your average investors would be crawling all over each other to get in on a startup that only had a $500 a day burn rate. ;p

Yes, yes. I fully support any spiritual successor to Microsoft’s attempt at 1 vs. 100 on consoles.

Something something Frisky Jay.

Sure. I mean, my scale is losing a couple seconds to minutes of time to bank operations vs. losing hours of progress into the game because once you reach... -10,000 ops I think?... it presents you with an option to reset the game. Which I, like and idiot, clicked unthinkingly.

Computing into negatives isn’t too huge a deal. Not paying attention to what upgrade buttons you’re pressing when you compute into the negatives, however, is.

Anthologies in particular seem like a good, relatively low-impact thing to get in to if you or like minded folks do want to subject themselves to the source material. The buildup and release loop of tension is so much shorter, and since most genre horror can barely support its running time, it can be nice to watch

Glad to see V/H/S on here, though I’m somewhat more partial to “A Ride in the Park.” It definitely felt like a novel use of then-contemporary technology to tell the standard zombie story in a hilariously gruesome and unexpected way.

Fair enough, but if Portable Ops is ok because it is canon, then I have to switch my question to “No Metal Gear Rising love?”

No Metal Gear Acid love?

My partner is not really a weenie, however, she is susceptible to jump scares. Oh the memories of playing Dead Space with her feet in my lap and the resulting rain of heels on my groin every time something startling happened.

Woof, this confirms pretty much all of my preconceived notions about the show. Like, I’m super down for sort of hyper educated blue blooded relentlessly twee bullshit, but Ezra Koenig always rubbed me the wrong way.
