I think there’s some justification in being upset with the _way_ he supported that candidate. I personally find Trump repellent, but even if I didn’t, his choice to fund a group that is deliberately cruel and that deliberately eschews anything like civil discourse is shitty. And then he flatly lied about doing so.

Yeah, I’m getting a very sociopathic vibe. I don’t know the dude, and this might just be a quirk of the telling, but seems like he doesn’t have a lot of personal remorse towards the family and colleagues he pretty properly and directly fucked. Interesting article, but I’d argue that the harm he did to the people

Oh no! What are us taekwondo practicing dads supposed to do!?

The Namco series (and more specifically Peter Saville’s pac man designs) from 2009 were fucking amazing.

I’ve said it before on here and I’ll say it again: There’s nothing as chilling to a developer’s ears as “should be easy to fix” or some variant thereof.

I think that’s sort of apples and oranges. Disregarding that there was a 30% longer development cycle for BOTW (nominally at least), Bethesda games are a lot more... logically complex? Meaning there are a lot of choices you can make that subtly impact conversation trees, behaviors, and events elsewhere in the game. So

I have something like 15 gameboys in all their various forms and iterations, but so help me god I might need this one too.

I didn’t buy two copies for the Switch (only because I couldn’t snag a collector’s edition, I totally would’ve otherwise), but I bought a Wii U copy on the off chance that they didn’t make a huge amount of them (whoops!).

This is absolutely the problem that sticks in my mind. I recently saw a tweet about the whole Bogost business saying, basically, that the problem is that somebody in a position of expertise is voicing an opinion that can (and likely will) be leveraged incorrectly by assholes in the future. He’s not considering the

This is some “Popcorn is tasty” level obliviousness.

Are we ABSOLUTELY SURE that this isn’t just a Cinco Pulp Bag Squeezer or something? The vividness of that green glop has Tim and Eric written all over it.

Similarly, if you’re ever in Nagoya, Toyota has a massive, fascinating museum of cars and textiles. The textile half has hundreds of looms from all eras. Really amazing machinery. My wife and I spent a few hours there before heading to the sumo basho.

They also have an awesome museum in Nagoya. Half cars, half looms. It’s fascinating.

I’m a brand new parent so I haven’t had to interact with any parents outside of my existing social circle, but I’m interested in and terrified by what is to come.

Well, at least it’s a washlet. I’ve stayed in a few airbnbs in Tokyo and they’ve all had regular, bidet-less toilets.

I have been waiting for this day for so long! Never played Torment since I was positive that it’d eventually come to iOS. So excited to play this!

LivingSocial gave me what I _think_ is a customized version of the Timbuk2 Uptown backpack for my first work anniversary:

I only play smash casually, and rarely at that, so excuse my ignorance but... Does this speak to him being on some next level shit, or does it speak to the game’s non-determinism? I know that’s shitty and reductive, but it also makes me curious.
