Yeah seriously. And being called a "lazy asshole" is a little dramatic.

It just hit me now as the anger drains after watching that trailer.... the book's community isn't creepy. not really. There are no guards, no guns, no one is hungry, no one goes without medical care. Everyone is pretty happy and well adjusted to their little world because they don't know anything different. In fact an

So much wrong here.

Why can't we let a great book be a great book, without turning it into a mediocre film?

Don't get me wrong, I expected them to change some things but this is so totally different. I was surprised how upset I was by some of the little things, like the giver taking jonas's hands instead of touching his back (did hollywood think it would be too gaybones or something?) and injections? and why is he talking

Just wrote something similar- why in the world would they not do this in black and white?!?!

I haven't read the book in ages, but wasn't a huge plot point that his world was in black and white, and then he started seeing color?

Nope. I am (usually) okay with movie adaptations. I get that things need to change in order to make a movie work, but this is too much. The movie should be black and white. Jonas should be 12. I am firmly in the NOT OKAY group on this one.

That is a very touching sentiment from Mick Jagger, but I am getting real tired of all these headlines referring to her as his girlfriend as if that was all she was. I mean these were the related article headlines under this very article on fb:

YO B WHY YOU GOTTA PLAY VINCENT LIKE THAT SMH SMDH

We in the Charlie fan club appreciate your support.

In general I approve of your list (Sawyer, mmmm...). However, Charlie should have in the top 10 for this moment alone:

THIS SHOW MAN! I'm traumatized by it. I cried so FREAKING MUCH with it. When Julia fell in that hole with Sawyer trying to save her. TEARS TEARS TEARS. When he jumped out of the Helicopter, when Desmond was trying to get back with his wife.. I can't even. When Jin and Sun are finally happy and shit goes cray cray.

Are you serious? LOTR fangirls and boys made up a HUGE portion of Lost's audience the first couple of seasons, which helped it become the phenomenon it did, and you are going to hate on Charlie? Charlie's whose painful sacrifice was one of the most poignant moments on this show? You actually rank him lower than #20

CHARLIE AT #39??!?!? ARE YOU JOKING.

Babe, Sawyer is mine and will always be mine and I will fight you to the death for him. But this list was hilar and made me very happy in the middle of having a migraine. So thank you.

HOW DARE YOU

Seriously...that's the only reason I go to here and Gawker

I totally agree with you that reading the comments are more often than not the best part of Jez. But about an hour ago I ended up down a rabbit hole of reading comments over on a GT/CRT thing that just wasn't all that best of anything other than demonstrating that sometimes the written word doesn't convey actual
