I suspect looking like a schlub is the best way to pick up a supercar. Or, maybe second best; dressing like the star of a musical about a homosexual cowboy dance troupe is probably the best way. Most sales people probably expect a hungover Adam Sandler to walk through the door, but if they see a pink cowboy hat and

Oh this is an easy one. I’ve had many dealer experiences, not because I buy cars at them all the time for myself (I tend to go the cheap route) but because for a while I was fleet manager for a car share club. Was it the best job ever? Yes! One of my “duties” was to pick up cars from dealers, It took me to many that

My best dealer experience was when my salesman introduced me to his niece and we ended up dating for about 6 months.

My first and so far only experience at a dealership was very positive. In the fall of 2018, I was in the market for a full-size pickup with tow package, and I had zeroed in on Chevrolets for a handful of reasons. I was fairly certain that I’d be shopping used, until I found an online listing for a new 2018 Silverado

That is literally felony theft from taxpayers.

They aren’t literally on freeway cleanup. They sit behind Caltrans workers and vehicles while they cleanup the freeway.

So how does this bullshit end with the Police? They dont come when they are called, they are faking their hours to get paid money they dont deserve, They legally do not have the obligation to help someone in danger, they do whatever the fuck they please. Whats the answer here?

I passed on your information, hopefully he reaches out to you soon. I grew up with his son and got to hang out in his shop while he was working on these projects. One of my favorites was a red half-Beetle with a giant Bud Light shifter that he called the Chili Pepper.

3 cheers for the jalopni-munity! it is 100% awesome that that someone can post something zany like this on here and there is a substantial chance that someone will respond “oh, that’s my friend’s dad’s vehicle”!

Yes! Is there any way you could convince him to talk with me? All jokes aside, this thing is awesome, and I’d genuinely love to hear the story behind the build and his love of shortened cars. My email address is cwoodard at jalopnik dot com.

Wow? Can you get more info on the build?

I can help! This is my friends dad’s vehicle. He owned a body shop in Texas and built it before retirement. He loved shortened vehicles and they tow this behind a converted bus. They moved to Richland several years ago when my friend got a job up there.

It’s at least 50/50 he’s a douche nozzle.

Seriously, I was coming here to say this exact thing. Austin Clagett did nothing wrong here and is just being screwed over by two companies that were too cheap to cover their offered prize.

Who among us has not drunkenly punched an Irish person while muttering slurs, calm down

I watched the whole thing and enjoyed it.

Now is probably a great time to become a repo-man. Business will be booming!

Just an observation: Rockstar and Ubisoft games routinely present hackers as the heroes of the story. Now both companies get hacked and the teenage alleged hacker is being presented as a villain. Will we ever see a game developer presented as the villain for luring kids into becoming hackers and ruining their lives as

Check classic.com for true selling prices of auto 996 Turbos. Dealers are in fantasy land on just about every 996 Turbo listing I’ve ever looked at.

Regardless of whether 911s are overvalued or not, this seems low priced and fishy. Stock 2001 Turbos are going for $69k (nice) based on a couple quick dealer listings found. Why is this being sold for nearly $15k less than what dealers want for stock? Do these, seemingly quality, mods lower the value that much? Is
