Depends on the rubber composition of your performance tires, but I experience a noticeable decline in grip at temperatures below 50 and once they get below 40, it’s like driving on hockey pucks. Pirelli Pzeros, btw.

Yes, huge improvement over summer tires in cold weather even if you never drive in the snow.
