This looks very similar to a cherimoya. Similar seeds and custard-like consistency. Looks like they are both in the same family - annonaceae.

At least with aji amarillo the paste or the frozen peppers are 70-80% as good as fresh. But, finding fresh huacatay is nearly impossible and the jarred paste is terrible. My MIL has found some frozen huacatay in a small latin grocery store, but otherwise it’s very hard to find.
