This is one of the most baffling things about the current generation. Xbox used to have a system level setting, and PS didn’t. Now it’s the other way around. This should be universal, it’s not like I play some games with inverted Y and others without. And if I was that picky, I wouldn’t use the system level setting…
Don’t be embarrassed, it’s a minor mistake and honestly I did not have a chance to complete the game. And when I was playing, I didn’t go all-in on the logs/etc., so all of this information is super interesting and helpful to catch up!
