My favorite type of band-aid repair are the ones that have single lane restriction with the little pop-up traffic lights. “Hey, this is unsafe for two lanes of traffic at once, so at least now only a couple of cars will fall into the river at any given time!”
Nah, even better - can’t fail inspection if you don’t inspect it in the first place!
Paint a picture of an America where the only people with any rights are rich white straight Christians, and everyone else exists just to make them richer, because that’s what the GOP wants.
OK, there are a lot of reasons Alec Baldwin is an asshole, but really? Yes, he killed someone, but that was a horrible accident, not intentional horrible behavior. Like, you can pick a LOT of examples of Baldwin being an abusive asshole and instead you picked an accident and frame it like he ran on set and murdered…
Wow, I thought this was terrible. The voice acting was phenomenally atrocious, like they went out of their way to make it annoying. There’s absolutely zero variety in the lines and commentary, so if you have to restart a section you have to listen to the exact same unbelievably awful lines over and over. The controls…
I think everyone is overlooking the fact that all old people call every system “Nintendo.” It’s almost a genericized term for them, like “Band-Aid” or “Kleenex.”
Greg Daniels really has put together quite a stable of talent over the years! I recall reading at some point that Mindy Kaling had applied several times for SNL and finally got an option, but Daniels asked if she would work with him on a sitcom instead. That worked out pretty well all around!
I only got into Superstore on streaming toward the end of the run and was beyond disappointed that it didn’t get more respect while it was on the air. Can confirm. My brain read your comment in his voice and it... was... exquisite.
I don’t need an actual ‘pick-up’ animation to keep me immersed in a game
This is one of the most baffling things about the current generation. Xbox used to have a system level setting, and PS didn’t. Now it’s the other way around. This should be universal, it’s not like I play some games with inverted Y and others without. And if I was that picky, I wouldn’t use the system level setting…
Don’t be embarrassed, it’s a minor mistake and honestly I did not have a chance to complete the game. And when I was playing, I didn’t go all-in on the logs/etc., so all of this information is super interesting and helpful to catch up!
Seriously, even the character model is very clearly Lance Reddick!
You know, sometime around the time this commercial came out, I remember standing outside my mom’s minivan while a teenage burnout helped load lumber of some sort.
Just happened to watch Airheads over the weekend. Still holds up.
‘Cavill’ is too many letters for a Wordle guess, so there have been far fewer posts.
Take a glove, throw it over the speedometer.
but to me, there are mysteries that need to be addressed in sequels (“Who is Darth Vader really?”), and mysteries that should not be addressed (“Who is Yoda really?”).
Over the years working in the combined sphere of media and web, the “word list” file has always been one of my favorite things to encounter. So many creative variations of “fvck.” Sometimes you look at things that make the list in the database/text file and you’re just like:
