Scranton, PA elected the first female mayor, first openly LGBTQ member of city council, and a bunch of other awesome women won in various elections throughout the region. Multiple winners are not original locals, so hopefully this is a sign that the area will slowly start to move away from the deep-seated corruption…

I have a fucking *city* income tax of 3%. I don’t make a lot of money. And that 3% is on top of my state and federal. Ha, cry me a river for the 9% people pay to live in a place where they make easily 3-4 times more than I do for the same job.

And since they barely reached 270 electoral votes it could have been very interesting.
