Living near Chicago, there was never a shortage of places to go for field trips.

The first of many, I’m sure.

As a kid in the early 70s, we took field trips to the Eugene Cernan Space Center near Chicago. I remember going to the planetarium and seeing a laser show set to “Fly Like An Eagle.” True story.

That’s why they tell civilians who fly with the Blue Angels to eat bananas before the flight. Why? Because they taste the same going down as they do coming up.
