Seeing that mass of aircraft in the sky, it's interesting to note that after 9/11, when all air traffic in the US was grounded, they had a very big problem with where to put all the planes. There are so many airliners in the skies these days that a certain percentage of them must be in the air. There's simply no

We're going to need more melted butter.

Bernie's conscience is clear.

Image Capture is my go-to app for dumping my phone photos, but also for removing images from my DSLR. I gave up on iPhoto years ago. Image Capture also works with my scanner. No need to use the software that came with the scanner, and it also allows you to scan multiple documents into a single PDF.

I remember hearing stories about those cannons that would shoot tennis balls at the birds. The birds soon learned that the cannons made an audible click just before firing, so the birds would fly up at the sound of the click, only to return after the cannon had fired.

KAUS uses compressed air cannons to frighten away the birds. They don't shoot projectiles, just make noises at random times. I don't know how well they work, but they don't seem to have any problems with bird strikes.

Bah-chicka-bah!

Cartoon magic.

Fred is the engine, as per the lyrics to the theme song:

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law lives in VA and we live in TX. My wife desperately wishes she could be there to take care of her, but we just can't. It would be impossible to move her, and she wants to be near Arlington National Cemetery where she'll be buried
