I have been told by an entirely unreliable source that a boat can fit on a ship, but a ship cannot fit on a boat. So there's that.

Back in 2010, an Austin cop struck a motorcyclist while the officer was allegedly typing on his laptop while driving. Here's the video:

An esteemed teacher once told me, "You know, a bad mood is nothing more than self indulgence." Bad days happen. Get over it and move on with your day.

Ahh, the beautiful game.

She should have thought about that in middle school when she picked her instrument. That's why I chose trumpet. She can take all the extra money she gets for cartage to pay for the Merc. Seriously, though, unless your girlfriend plays for the NY Phil, how can she afford a Mercedes?

My mom gave me my first driving lessons in a cemetery. There were lots of paved roads and turns to take without any other traffic, and the tombstones sent a powerful message.

Walking into a stinky bathroom after a deposit has been made is one of the things that makes human beings resilient. When will this coddling end? Embrace the fact that we make a bathroom stink, and grow stronger as you abide the stench of the previous user. It's all part of humanity's curse, and humanity's

That takeoff was ridiculous!

The CVR has a two-hour recording cycle. It flew for four hours before disappearing.

Because we live in a world of Facebook, Instragram, and 24-hour news channels. The news needs to keep reporting, and people feel they now have a vested interest in anything that happens on the planet, even if only to make some comment on it (that is not directed at you). I'm an aviation enthusiast and history buff.

You will have data on the flight, when it changed course, altitudes, etc. But you won't have any voice. The CVR constantly overwrites itself, and they were in the air so long after the course deviation that anything that was said or heard in the cockpit won't be on it.

You speak of closure like it's a bad thing. If your family member were on that plane, wouldn't you like to know what happened to them?

Having seen vast swaths of the Canadian Rockies clear cut for timber, I would have to agree with this sentiment.

Congrats on the sobriety. Having kids means lots of changes. I've got three boys, 8, 8, and 11.
