The BMW driver was so shaken up he had trouble finding the number for his insurance agent. Anybody want to take odds that he is a lawyer?

I've recently made the jump to SLR photography, and while I understand the fundamentals of what's going on, achieving that balance of shutter, f-stop, ISO, etc. will take a long time. Anything that will help me get my head around all that is worth it, especially if it only costs $1.

I am a professional trumpet player who started in the 4th grade. I now have three college degrees in playing trumpet and perform freelance and with a regional symphony orchestra. I quit for a couple of years at the end of high school, but after taking some college courses I discovered that all I knew how to do was

Mouthpieces are terribly personal things, and what is good for one player may not work for another. As a classical trumpet player, I only play flugel on occasional pops gigs, and have a serviceable Bach 1CFL that I use. It's got the same rim size as my trumpet mouthpiece, so switching back and forth on the gig is

As a professional musician, I would definitely encourage you to find a good teacher. You can learn a lot from books, but there is no substitute for hearing the instrument played well and watching it being played. And it's never too late to learn. Vic Braden, the famous tennis coach had a good story about late

This. And there are also people I went to HS with that I don't want to be able to find me.

Yes, I read more closely after drafting my comment, and I thought I had hit "cancel" on the comment. Must have hit "submit" accidentally. The article was actually very clear that it was a pseudo hover.

I'm wondering about the statement that this craft can hover. Can an unpowered rotorcraft hover? It will auto-rotate and descend if forward momentum is stopped, I would think. It could certainly orbit, though.

For his actions, Sliney was awarded the Archie League Medal of Safety Award, which is given by the National Air Traffic Controllers Association. Dude, you're en fuego. I liked Rosie.

Should have used a C-130J. Those six-bladed, curved props are just wicked.

What gave it away? The pixels? Or have you seen quite a few shops in your time?

In other words, West-FAIL-ia.

The same can be said for ebay. I'm a trumpet player, so I often look for vintage cornets. I'm always certain to search for "coronet" as well. Plenty of Dodges out there, and also plenty of vintage horns as well. And people who don't know how to spell often have no idea how much an item is really worth.

I don't think the semi is available any more, but it is set No. 8654. The other transporter is set No. 8185. You can probably still find them, but they will likely be expensive.

I've got this one also.
