Side benefit of learning to parallel park in a truck is that you can look back at the rear wheel wells and see exactly how the vehicle is pivoting throughout the maneuver. It really helps when you’re trying to explain where you want to position the car and why.

I actively tried to kill my Cavalier for years, I could never manage to do it. They’re super underrated cars. I had mine for 7 years and took it from ~80k to ~170k miles.

I haven’t traveled too far for a car, but I went from Cleveland OH to Lexington KY to buy my SV650 (~330 miles each way). I found the bike while trolling Craigslist and eBay. It was 10 years old with 4300 miles, and had never been dropped. The condition was way better than anything local, and the asking price was

Bingo, that’s my question too.

My family had a Eurosport wagon when I was a kid. It was amazing (at that age I mainly appreciated riding in the “way back” and waving at strangers).

As far as the ESC switch goes, NHTSA requires that ESC is enabled at every ignition cycle. They base it on the argument that arguing that re-enabling ensures that the vehicle’s user will benefit from the system some of the time (assuming they don’t put in the effort to turn ESC off every time they drive).

I’ve speared exactly one oil filter with a screw driver. It was the first oil change I was doing after buying a used Ranger (2WD, Vulcan 3.0), the previous filter was put on by the hulk, and he didn’t put any oil on the filter seal. After watching my strap wrench slip I stabbed the filter with my longest screw driver

Ecotec 4 bangers had paper cartridge type filters under a cap. Some of the GM stuff was easy to work on (just not the fun cars).

Refilling my ICE vehicles takes less than 10 minutes though. It’s ~350 miles door to door if I drive from my house to my parent’s, which happens about 3 times a year. When I go I drive straight through with one stop for bathroom/fuel. Not possible with an EV (though I would consider renting an ICE for this trip if I

When you see a cop running radar or pulling someone over, everyone slows down, thus making the road safer.

I will never be able to unsee this.

Gas stations in cold climates switch the fuel blend without saying anything. When it’s colder out they can sell blends that are more volatile and cheaper to produce. In the summer time winter blend fuel evaporates too quickly, putting raw hydrocarbons in the air (smog).

I’m on the same page as curbwatching, and my gripe isn’t just against Tesla.

FIATA - Even better.
