My really long winded way of agreeing with you other than the type of induction. :)

Right. But there is still a computer and wiring needed for those coils and the ignition timing. It really cuts either way. LOL I would have gone old school small block and a blower.

My 84 Calais died of Midwestern rust cancer. :( She was a beautiful T top and everything. I miss that car.

Not those. The later years had a fuel injected 4.3L V6 in the Monte Carlo and of course the Grand National was SFI. So getting the tank and sender really isn’t that hard. Along with all the aftermarket support for these cars. Remember, these were the last true muscle car in the sense of V8 RWD and full frame.

Most people suck. And remember, it’s a GM product so most are going to hate on it no matter how good it could be.

Also, the G bodies were metric frames where the A bodies were SAE. Found that out swapping from my 84 to my buddies 79.

Down to $1.75 here in northern Colorado. But still, I can’t justify anything that big or guzzle that much fuel to just commute.

You found them that cheap?? Every one I have found for 15k is closer to 10 years old or closer to 200k. I need to get a truck for my wife to pull her horses. I have been trying like hell to talk her out of it. She just doesn’t like to drive my 81 C10 with an Olds 350 and big cam and a carb.... Without a choke.... I

I know.. But I was on the last mission and had to go back to complete a couple side missions so I could beat it. Not saying I am running out tomorrow to download and play. Just a nice thought. And not expensive to boot.

Right! When the headline said expensive I was expecting 40 or 50 bucks. But, 15? i would pay that to be able to finish San Andreas. Seen as how i upgraded and got rid of my PS2 before I did.

Two separate ECMs for each throttle body that didn’t talk to each other. Add in 80s electronics with slow very simple computers. I’ll leave it at that...

But the European cars of the era didn’t use it to that extreme. There were the padded hubcaps on Mercedes. But, I can’t recall anything near as gaudy.

or this....

And that is the inherent problem. It would be just another tacky add on and look like it came from AutoZone. lol

My favorite part is that we exported our 70’s ugliness to Europe. It was really nice we didn’t keep it to ourselves and shared it with the world.

But on these looked really good.

There is something cool in the nostalgia of hood ornaments. But just like chrome they need to stay in the past. Both would/do look terrible on modern cars

Dodge did on the last generation Chargers too. Dumbest damn thing.

Or a house in certain places! NO WAY I would pay more than 20k for something that will be jumping through horse pastures and hauling stuff. Seems like a huge waste for a work horse.
