I have an 09 Chevy Cobalt LS coupe. Manual everything. Windows, Locks and even transmission. No ABS or traction control. Only way to unlock the car is with the physical metal key.

Fifties Chryslers. 😁
Seems I’ve seen that design before....
I’ve been running Mobil 1 extended performance in my Cobalt since I got it used a year ago. I drive almost 5000 miles a month and just go by the monitor now. Oil looks great at 7-8000 mile change intervals.
That’s because GM, Toyota, Honda, BMW and others got together to tackle why they were starting to have injector problems in the late 90s/early 2000s. They found the federal mandate on detergent additives wasn’t good enough, couldn’t convince oil companies or the government to fix it. So, they made their standard and…
My step father years ago told me to stay away from Pennzoil because all it did was gunk up old engines. Looks like that jug got it’s start early. I only use Valvoline or Mobil 1 depending on my car. Engines are always spakling clean on the inside.
My 09 Cobalt has manual windows, no ABS or Traction Control....
Or better yet! Find an old Monza or Vega... :)
I’d have a much easier time defending my Cobalt in this anti-GM site. :)
Now, if only they would make something other than a boring fleet/rental car.
It’s stupid for Ford to do this beyond the fuel mileage issue. Not everyone wants or needs to drive a tall, large vehicle. I have a Cobalt and love having a low simple car. The CUV/SUV/Truck craze is just getting dumb.
Actually pretty good. There’s at least one or two stations in each big town in Northern Colorado and several scattered throughout Denver.
Yes I do! I live here! Most I have ever seen is 91. Which back in Wisconsin was sometimes mid grade. lol
Even then I hear a lot of cars pinging on the stuff. Especially Nissans. I just stick to what GM recommends. The manual says 87 minimum period. I feel the engineers know better than I do. lol
In the mountainous states like where I live in Colorado. Which is funny, because you can hear the engines running 85 by all the pinging. I use 87 which is mid grade here.
It’s my first tattoo and I just got it last May. Bit of an olds geek. :)
As a parts guy, this is fucking hilarious! This is why I won’t deal with those idiots. This is also why I would laugh when they would tell me the part was cheaper there and also why I would laugh harder when they would come back saying it failed already or couldn’t get it right he first time. Then tell me they should…
Say what you want about GM, but all of their vehicles come with automatic headlamps that can’t be permanently taken out of auto. The switch spring is spring loaded to go back to auto, a message is displayed of “Auto Lights Off” and once the key is cycled, the auto function is restored. It is also restored if you cycle…
And to think, one year prior Calais was the top trim level on the RWD Cutlass paltform. I owned an 84 with T-Tops. Had all the Hurst stuff but the shifter and the “High Output” (use that term loosely) 307. Mine even had the heavy duty F-41 suspension. I miss that car.
