woah, sacramento?

Almost all of the CARB regulations, yes, California has some of the worst regulations. CARB regulations are by far the worst. They pretend to be about the environment when in reality it's about making money. In California, if you pass the smog sniffer test, you can fail because the CAT is not "CARB certified" or you…
I went to the CHP open house event once and they showed us a typical cruiser setup. The entire truck was filled with electronics for the radios and whatnot. This was before they officially moved over to the SUV. They said that with all of the communications equipment and computer hardware, there was little to no space…
I completely agree with all of your posts... it makes no sense to build a robot to look like a human when the bipedal human form is not the most efficient or effective setup to have.
As nice as the new ATS-V seesms to be... I bet the M3/M4 will be the more popular choice because of their name. If Cadillac wants to compete, they probably need to come in at a lower price, get people interested, then slowly, as their recognition grows, increase their price accordingly.
One note you may want to add is always FACE oncoming traffic. You want to see what's coming at you in case some driver gets target fixated on you and veering toward you and your car. This could potentially save your life. If you ever watch tow truck drivers, they always face traffic, even if that means walking…
I don't specifically mean the size, although that would be great... I would just love a removeable soft/hard top with solid axles and toyota reliability.
I hope Toyota brings back the FJ with solid front axels and a roll cage with a removeable hard/soft top to compete with the Wrangler... essentially bring back the original FJ. That would be the only vehicle I would sell my current FJ for. Well, maybe the new Raptor but that's a different story.
It's like they set out to make something specifically for the rental car market.
man, between this and the new raptor... Ford is knocking it out the park!
If they were really returning to their roots, they wouldn't need a giant screen that would let them hide other features into it. It's probably due to the cost like you mentioned. I suppose if they had a rear view mirror with a screen already in their parts bin they probably would have gone that route.
Does the mandate specify the size the screen? My 2010 FJ has a screen that is hidden in the rear view mirror. It's tiny but works well. People always think it's so fancy when it comes on lol.
I was going to bring up the FRS/BRZ in response to his question as well. Similar price point, and probably similar demand.
A lot of it comes down to what kind of car you are buying... For instance, a lot of trucks like the Tacoma, hold their value so well that you'd be a fool to buy a used one when they only save you a couple thousand.
Dat ORANGEEEEE
I need to move out of California.
IMHO, Trucks are meant to be used. I would wear most dings and dents with pride.
I think electric cars would be a definite exception, assuming it is your A-B commuter car, not your pride and joy.
This is why I have a dashcam... and a CCW.
I wonder where they will install it... There is a Tesla Supercharger station at Harris Ranch which is a pretty good midpoint between norcal-socal.
