Thank you Matt!!! I have long extoled beans as a great source of non-meat protein (they’re a better source of protein than eggs). I’m glad to see them getting the good press they deserve and thank you for including all the examples of how they can be used, including many times in place of empty carbs.

The last time I purchased TJ’s instant ramen option I had to cook it just as long as regular dried pasta to get it to al dente. The deep frying of the noodles is what helps the other ramen brands cook so fast, neither of these seem like they would be replacements for that food category.

Will you be paying the much higher food prices to pay the low skilled workers a living wage? Does your concern not extend to the people who made your clothes or the phone in your hand?

With these perks aimed at those interested in building a credit score, you can probably read between the lines as to whom Chipotle really wants behind the counter

10 days before flavor change is not “stable” at room temperature. In your case where it will be a couple days before things get washed is not an issue, but I just wanted to put that out there incase any chilruns out there, who see one thing on the internet and think it’s true, believe that.

While the elimination of plastic bags is something shoppers can see and feel...refrigerators that keep your bags of salad mix chilled

Butter will definitely go rancid at room temperature unless it’s clarified/ghee.  Not in a couple days necessarily, but it is not “stable” like purely saturated fats.

Fast food english muffins are chewy garbage. “Round Egg” = “cracked egg” - you’ll notice that all of the cracked eggs on the Canadian sandwiches are cooked in a round shape. I’m still not sure why you decided to join in on a conversation about products that you don’t have available to you and you don’t eat.

At least Josh self identified as another Takeout writer whose opinions about food we should not really pay attention to...

Yes on a McMuffin, but this article is about biscuit sandwiches. Folded eggs are definitely the standard at McD’s on their biscuit sandwich (but I definitely sub in a round egg too anyways).

Fast food english muffins are way too tough, I don’t want to have to fight for a bite of my breakfast that early in the morning. Biscuits have just enough structure to maintain the sandwich shape until pressed to do otherwise

Oh yes the pro-inconsistency and higher prices lobby always has to chime in...

Shop-Rite has the full complement of advantages - big stores with a large diverse inventory, good prices, a good deli, and fairly good employees.

You might at least be able to get a job!

Does that sentiment include grocery stores?

Some of you all seem to be missing the point of this article and some of the findings of this study in that if you’re consuming anything that’s been stored in or processed on plastic you’ve probably been consuming “microplastics” (that includes refilling plastic water bottles and using plastic water filter pitchers,

If you know what Burt’s Bees is, that news might give you some pause, since the brand (owned by Clorox)

Any ranking that has Amazon as the #2 grocery store will be instantly ignored. I really am not going to value the opinions of any group that thinks they’re saving money/getting a great experience by buying groceries from Amazon.  I really would like to see the demographics for whatever this sample group was.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever even eaten at an Applebee’s, but we have one in San Francisco for the tourists down at Fisherman’s Wharf that’s fairly easy for me to get to. It’s not a place I’d ever thought I’d plan on going, but cheap protein is still protein and this sounds like it could be a real financial boon so I
