Plus, it’d really suck if you plugged in a car at night only to find it wasn’t charged the next morning.” - Exactly. And in places like LA where EVs are gaining popularity and the average person has been conditioned to not really care that much about the 15 million of their neighbors they don’t know, this is exactly

I’d have to give it a Nice Price.

Definitely w/o AC and a clutch on its last legs. I recently bought a Focus ST from a dealership along the 405 and for my first drive home had to brave the 405 south in rush hour. No bueno. This is truly a deserved punishment.

I am not an expert on this but I was diagnosed with multiple pulmonary embolisms just two weeks ago and my discharge instructions from the hospital specifically said not to wear compression socks. Apparently if you already have a clot, they encourage it to move up your leg towards your lungs. Similarly, massaging your

As soon as I read this I thought about all the years I spent feathering the clutch of a 125cc 2-stroke dirtbike in order to wring enough power out of it to clear the first jump out of corners or make it up some steep hill. That seems sort of similar to the clutch kick described here except for on a dirtbike you can

I truly love my 2006 6-wagon with a manual transmission. I had a big left knee injury over 20 years ago and I just tell myself the clutch is keeping my leg strong. It’s a commitment to life long physiotherapy.

That was pretty amazing really. I admire her for driving that same car all these years and at 73 she’s got no problems having 3 pedals. Makes me want to keep driving my 06 Mazda 6 Sportwagon and 06 Tundra DC 4x4 until 2058 but something tells me gasoline will be outlawed long before then.

I want to argue with you but can’t as my manual wagon was indeed purchased used. But that was 9 years ago when I was a poor grad student. Now I actually have the money to buy a new manual wagon but alas they do not exist (I would never subject myself to Volkswagen unreliability).

My wife and I too. We have a 2013 Focus ST. We’re in SoCal and there is not a shortage of RS’s still on lots. But for 2018's it’s tough to find anything other than red and for us that is a no-go even though that limited slip diff would be worth it.

For about the same price as one of the collectible remaining Focus RS models.  Unbelievable.

I tend to agree.  It looks amazing in the first shot showing the side view but that rear view does look really weird.  Maybe getting a blowout deal on a remaining 2018 isn’t such a bad idea since there’s no MS3 coming ever again it seems.

Speaking of FU money, I work 2-doors down from RPG (Raptor Peformance Group) in SoCal. It never ceases to amaze me how these guys have a constant intake of stock Raptors (already what like $65-$70K?) that come in to have another $50K of upgrades put into them.   Mind blowing to me.

I had one of those 4x4 Tercel wagons and drove it through insane snowstorms to ski hills all over BC and Alberta. I had 4 fresh Blizzaks for winter and with only something like 67 hp distributed to two axles, it was an amazing snow car that would tractor through anything.

Exactly.

No strut bar yet, I checked around and wasn’t sure where I could find one.

I would postulate that Carmax sells so few manuals simply because they offer such crappy trade-ins on vehicles with manuals. Us diehard 3-pedal drivers know that our cars are Unicorns and that there is a small subculture of freaks out there who actually want them and realize how hard they are to find and so we sell

I knew I could count on you to represent the Mazda 6-wagon freaks. I think they have aged pretty well myself too. I really think the 10-spoke 18" wheels from the GT model help the look compared to the 5-spokes. I used to have 2 sets of wheels, 5-spokes with winter tires and the 10-spokes with summer and each time I’d

We’ve had our 2006 for 8 years now and it is a manual. For 6-ish of those it was my wife’s car but of course I still got to drive it. We got it to replace her manual 2-door Civic when we had the first kid as she flat out refused to drive an automatic and we needed a family car. It became mine about 1.5 years ago when

Amen.

I tried this same thing. I live near Mazda headquarters in Irvine, CA and they sponsor a lot of events around here. All you’ll get is a reply “saying thanks for your input and interest” and then tons of emails about the new 6 sedan and CUV’s.
