Can them all. Close the plant and move overseas. Unions are toxic and impossible to deal with. Run by criminals.

God damn I hope that’s sarcasm

Ahhh so tesla is just embracing being the Apple of the automotive world.

No one is putting the obvious “Insurance fraud” out there, so there it is.

I know that felt like a blow to a lot of readers.

Because the site is in excellent shape, because we have a great staff who are more than capable of maintaining Jalopnik’s place at the top of its competitive set and growing it from there, we were all able to send them off without concern for the site’s future.

Congrats Rory!

Cars may be safer from a crash test point of view...but there are also a lot of huge cars and trucks, and cars that are obscenely fast, and some that are both huge and insanely fast.  Combine that with a low point of entry to get/keep a drivers license and a lot of people who drive like selfish, reckless idiots, and

Not in this case.
Hyperloop wasn’t a long shot like, for example, vertical landing rockets, it always has basically been a scam for venture capitalist.

As a person that owned a 1st gen and looked to trade it in on a second. I would say Toyota killed the MR2 on the 2nd gen. The 2nd gen felt off. Sure faster and prettier, but overboosted. It was like driving a fast marshmellow after getting out of the 1st gen.

I agree with you on the FRS/BRZ, the first gen was also better looking and only got uglier with each update/refresh. The performance my have taken a baby step forward, but the appearance took a step backwards.

What the fuck is this? Written by someone who has no concept of reality outside of NYC? On a CAR centric website?

Far be it from me to complain about anything that extends the lifespan of combustion cars, but aren’t biofuels better for the purpose in basically every way? Hydrogen seems like the kind of thing that Toyota refuses to give up on while the entire rest of the world moves on.

im not sure why this isnt more talked about. EV’s can be for the masses that dont care whether or not theyre car is gasoline or not.  Your essential people mover should be an EV.  theres no reason for a Toyota Corolla to be gas powered. But niche vehicles could still be gas powered for the people that want them.

A Telsa Model S weighs about as much as an F150 or an E-class, a Model 3 weighs about as much as your average CUV. So they’re really not heavier. Yes, they don’t use gas but using gasoline taxes an essential source of infrastructure funding is what lead the US to the mess it is in.

It is what it is. If a car is all beaten to hell then I’m going to give them a wide berth. I’m not profiling the person beyond obviously being a poor driver who runs into a lot of things.

Easy.

Mitsubishi Eclipse.

So I guess you are the one that decides none of the blue collar workers / trades people making boats, expensive cars, planes should have jobs anymore because you think no one should be able to afford these things? Nice of you. Would love to hear your economic plan.
