One of the things that was kind of eye opening when I became an “adult” was how dumb most people were. I always looked up to adults as having all the answers. Reality was most are pretty terrible at everything they do.

A Miata with a trailer hitch makes them actually practical. With a hitch you can put on a cheap harbor freight hitch basket to move sort of large items easily. I also pulled a trailer with it all the time. I moved from Mass. to Texas hauling a 4x8 trailer loaded with all my worldly belongings. Had zero problems.
I’m a cyclist and have zero empathy for those that ride in the middle of the street. Regardless of whether or not you can do it there is the question of should you. For me that answer is no. I know that any run in a with a car is going to end badly for me. I keep a few inches from the edge of the road at all times. I…
If it’s not already state law it is for sure law hear in Austin.
By this logic then a classic ferrari is a hard pass at $18k.
This falls mostly on the driver but also on Texas roads. The speed limits are really high in the rural areas. As you can see there is little to no shoulder on most of these roads too. You’d honestly be safer going right through the city than on the middle of no where roads. That’s probably opposite of what most people…
At any price this is no dice. These are some of the most poorly built unreliable vehicles ever made. Stay away!
Is it? Find another 2 door Integra in as good of shape for less money. I’m waiting....
You aren’t getting it. Any more modern car is going to kill anything 20 years + older in safety and performance. It’s about the styling and nostalgia, more the nostalgia.
Exactly. These are impossible to find in this good of shape. K24 swap it and laugh as you pass Type R’s like they are stopped.
The other question is where the hell are the cops where you can steal this many cars? I live in Austin and it looks like we get ~2,400 cars a year stolen here. That’s about 1/3 the thefts with 2x the population.
Ya I thought it was law. My 99 Miata had an immobilizer.
I owned an MX-6 about twenty years ago and loved it. I tried buying one 3-4 years ago and they are impossible to find. The one I did find the guy got weirded out and bailed on the sale because I wanted to fly half away across the country to buy it. he just couldn’t fathom why any one would do that for an MX-6.
Pretty much all the RX-7's. The values have really shot up recently so what ever is around now will be restored and maintained. Previously a lot of them would have just been junked or parted out.
I feel like this thing is a white elephant for GM at this point. It really doesn’t go along at all with what they say now they are planning for the future. It’s left over from trump era who gives a crap about CAFE regulations thinking. My guess is they’d probably rather kill it at this point but they’ve got too much…
And yet still no one will buy a Mazda. They have the best safety rating, Best quality and I believe the highest CAFE rating but they just get passed over consistently for brands that have sat on their hands for the last 15 years(Toyota, Honda). We were just having this exact conversation at the office the other day.…
It’s funny. Get over it snowflake.
But how much is he getting paid in real money? Sure on paper he’s a billionaire but in cash it could be almost zero. Tesla stock could become worthless tomorrow(probably not) where real money retains it’s value regardless of a companies performance. That is why this tax scheme seems a bit off to me.
This tax the rich stuff always rubs me the wrong way. We are the land where anybody can be anything! You can go from a penny poor immigrant to millionaire! All of that being said a bit sarcastically... But if you achieve that lofty goal we need to take you down a notch?
A good friend is a private mechanic for an exotic car collection so I’ve gotten a glimpse into this world. These cars don’t get driven much not for the awful reasons everyone seems to lament around here. It’s because they own so many cars and are in general very busy people. When you have fifty cars it’s tough to rack…
