Whilst i agree that they are at least not based off the same ‘template’ as a NASCAR is, the fact is that all WRC/R5 cars are still hatchbacks with 1.6 litre turbo engines, which makes them feel too similar to one another. Yeah I can’t disagree with that. But I also wouldn’t call him ‘not ready’ for anything either. He’s definitely ready for a crack at WRC-2, and whether or not that results in some WRC car outings next year remains to be seen.

*BUT the WRC news story suggests Tidemand’s also likely to be in that car? He would surely be brilliant if he were to be given a full season in a WRC car.
