Marko & Red Bull are Dollop episodes waiting to happen

ByKolles are the TNA of WEC teams - some bright spots, and alarming longevity for a team with little success

The Nissan GT-R LM Nismo deserves a spot in the ‘scandals or weirdness’ category, just as something whose potential is still yearned after, but whose actual performance is still one of the most disappointing events in this time period

I didn’t know that it was being done on purpose?

Russell Brookes and his Andrews Heat For Hire cars were always a standout, even in an era of Alitalia and Rothmans having great liveries.

You make your own luck in the WRC...

Here are 3 cars that could only race in the JGTC/Super GT

Whilst i agree that they are at least not based off the same ‘template’ as a NASCAR is, the fact is that all WRC/R5 cars are still hatchbacks with 1.6 litre turbo engines, which makes them feel too similar to one another. Compare that to late 70s/ early 80s Group 4 rallying, where Escorts/Stratos’/Opels/Datsuns were

The WRC is equally deserving of scorn as the other series mentioned here, and that grinds my gears.

Well this doesn’t look good for anyone involved:

This is one of those stories where I’m unsurprised that the main headline in the story happened, but the smaller details surprised me anyway

making a... gallant attempt at rallying

Kris Meeke may crash a lot, but he IS a multiple WRC rally-winner! And who here on this humble comment section would NOT look awkward by doing this exact same cobblestone-rollover? (cobbover?)

Fun fact - In Sweden, nearly all the drivers wear speed-dealer-adjacent glasses to pick out visual references/road markers easier. #fashionpenalties

To be fair, most Lexus/Toyota products, if driven by Neal Bates like this one was, could make the top 10 on Targa Tasmania.

Grid Kittens? (not ‘kittens’ - actual cat-kittens, with boot-mittens)

Well in 2016, sure. This year he also became Eric “I came 2nd in the WRC-2 season” Camilli...

Daaaaang how did i forget about Østberg?! He might still have it!

Yeah I can’t disagree with that. But I also wouldn’t call him ‘not ready’ for anything either. He’s definitely ready for a crack at WRC-2, and whether or not that results in some WRC car outings next year remains to be seen.

*BUT the WRC news story suggests Tidemand’s also likely to be in that car? He would surely be brilliant if he were to be given a full season in a WRC car.
