I would blame Bay, but Shia has been sucking up the screen in movies other than the Transformers series. Eagle Eye, Indiana Jones & Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Disturbia...even in supporting rolls (I Robot) he is annoying. The last picture I actually liked him in was Constantine.
