The Vulcan nerve pinch probably wouldn't work on somebody in full body armor. And Ted, he's a busybody. He can't help but insert himself into situations which, more often than not, end badly...humorously, but badly.

Given Barney's choice of statuary (life size Storm Trooper) he might fall more into the Star Wars camp... Wait, that's perfect. Barney and Ted touch off a brawl between Trekkies and FanBoys which culminates with Ted gettin "da pinch". It would be AWE - wait for it - SOME!!

Having Spock put the clamp on Ted would be very satisfying. I'm already picturing an episode where Barney drags Ted to Comic Con to hit on cosplay chicks. It's the first time, in a long time, I've smiled when thinking about HIMYM.

Not sure why, but I could see Steve Zahn being able to pull off Kolchak.

Depp was good as Hunter S. Thonmpson, but Kolchak is nothing like HST. My fear is that he will play him too over the top...manic, instead of driven. Johnny Depp is a great character actor, but this casting feels too much like square peg meets round hole.

John Carpenter's "The Thing" could be either a #9 or #1. But I guess either way, everybody dies (#2). How that happens is of course left to the imagination of the viewer, which is part of what makes this movie a classic.

Maybe it was just the armor, but Urban looked bigger as Vago in the Chronicles of Riddick. He just doesn't seem as physically imposing as Dredd. Maybe it's that bucket of a helmet he's wearing. It looks way to big.

Like other artists H.R. Giger's style changes and evolves over time. Pablo Picasso had his Blue and Rose periods. It seems that Giger has moved on from Phalluses to Vulva.
