34/going on 35. Bought a flipped house a little after the turn of the housing market, so we got it for 130. I’ll admit that we were really fortunate in a few of regards: 1. The only student loans we have are from my wife’s master’s. 2. We got in right before the mortgage insurance ruled changed (used to 20% paid,

Awesome nod to Csikszentmihalyi. I knew there was a reason I read Kotaku.

Yeah. In retrospect, I think I might have come out ahead if I flipped to WoW, but I personally enjoyed the art style of MS more (it’s MMO mario!). I keep toying with the idea of trying to find a WoW legacy server, but I realize that I’m not interested in investing that amount of time anymore.

Definitely got the hours of entertainment out of it, but it was definitely becoming an addiction; I would blow $40-$50 all the time and would often walk to my closest CVS at 2 in the morning to get my fix when I should’ve been sleeping/getting ready for class.

True. Problem was that the game evolved over the time; there was a noticeable shift from “Pay for just cosmetics” to “Pay to get a lottery ticket that MIGHT give you a scroll buff”. I still love MapleStory, but it’s become pay to keep up with the power creep.

Previous MapleStory addict here. At least $1000 in MTX from me. Not proud of that; I justified it because I was in college and wasn’t buy any other games and had all the basics covered (food/housing/etc).

Damn it... did it again. Every. Single. Time. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Good to hear that they are actually well-built. Bit surprised that they’ve dropped to sub $200 already. I’m still holding out to built to my own MAME cabinet using a Pi though.

I’ll admit that I started checking the Epic Games store out because I’m a fan of Supergiant’s previous work and I’m a sucker for rouge-likes/lites. Noticed that they’ll be giving away some games: Subnatica from Dec 14-27 and then Super Meat Boy Dec 28-Jan 10. Not bad for being the new store on the block, though I’m

Between this and leaking customer info...

Curious if this is going to turn into a No Man’s Sky comeback... I mean eventually; I don’t think the Dec 4 patch solves everything.

Same, except I haven’t played Hitman 2 yet.

Since I just got Hitman 2016 from last month’s Humble Bundle, I’ve been rerunning Paris over and over, knocking out each challenge, memorizing the map, contemplating my methodology. I’m still trying to figure how to get the auction invitation and do the chandler drop, not to

If it’s the same model I have (and it looks to be), I’d highly recommend using something other than the included sheath. The tool rides too high on the belt and feels awkward. I’m personally thinking of modify the sheath loop with a rivet snap so that it can go on my belt loop, but I’d prefer a clip built into the

Good point. I don’t go to tournaments/conventions/etc, but I can definitely see how losing a virtual match could result in a real throwdown.

Suit Guy in headlining gif: “This is definitely not my scene...” -> Also me when it comes to large groups of people.

Buddy and I are starting to pick up our co-op games again, so probably Warframe with new update, The Division for funsies, and some Hero Siege. Depending our scheduling, I might solo some Enter the Gungeon, Far Cry 5 on infamous mode, and try and start Hitman 1.

+1 for pre-order commiserations. I hoped that after Destiny 1 it’d be an easy transition to make Destiny 2, but Bungie/Activision kinda bungled that up. Now watching the reactions to Diablo Immortal, I’m willing to pin all of the blame on Activision.

Wait... where did you get $8 for GeForce Now? I’ve seen the idea batted around of 20 hours for $25, but not $8 a month. Plus it’s still in Beta, right?

I probably answered this in my last comment to you, but I bought the deluxe version, so it was base+DLCs automatically (season pass type thing). I guess I had an expectation that the base game and DLCs would be good.
For along the line of not know what the content was like, I was going off of Destiny 1.

I’m not saying that I deserve more than those are just now joining are getting; I’m saying that for all issues Destiny 2 had from day 1 that are, to a certain extent, now just getting settled with Forsaken, it really wasn’t something I signed up for for $100. Going in, I had the expectation that Bungie had learned
