And the irony is Clay Matthews getting called twice on it now.

LoL, yeah my backlog is an embarrassment. But GDI, I want Destiny 2 to be soooo good. Am I really willing to say, “Yep, spent $140 on this bad boy. Worth every penny.” I know it boils down to personal opinion about how much is too much to pay, but for the $60 I paid for base, I was expecting so much more out of…
Is it honestly worth $40? I’m still kind of kicking myself for paying ~$100 for base + DLC 1 & 2.
Insert snarky “Oh, the game isn’t fixed yet?” remark. /s
+1. Was going to make a mention about how Day 1's are just the start of public testing; that and Day 1 patches. If people are so inclined to be part of the buggy mess, that’s their business. “Early Access” (not the Steam indie stuff) coupled with “Games as a Service” seem to be giving a lot of leeway to publishers; at…
LoL, really wasn’t meaning to, but now that you point it out... sure, I’ll take the credit. It was absolutely planned. XD
Admittedly came to shitpost and be salty about “$40 expansions”. Actually read the article before jumping the gun; it genuinely disarmed me. Kudos.
Do you know if there’s a PC crew? I lurked around Reddit a little bit, but I’ll freely admit that I didn’t dig too hard (IRL grinding at work)
While I love the world of GTA and have been playing since the the old overhead versions, I hate GTA online for this very reason. When GTA V was released, I was in the middle of a bunch of other games and was subsequently late to GTA online. Starting out and getting ganked repeatedly made me quickly bail on the game.…
Ah, bummer. I guess I could be partial faulted for the closure; Wildstar struck me as an MMO I could get behind, but never got around to playing. At first I didn’t want to buy the subscription, then I just didn’t want to dedicate my life to an MMO, then I just plan forgot that it existed amongst all the other games I…
Zing! We have a winner!
Maybe I wasn’t in the right place, but after 2.0 came out (before the DLC released) I was walking around the EDZ and Tower and it felt empty. Yeah, there were players, but it felt like there were even less than when I left around the time of the “Go Faster” update. Maybe everybody just does…
I agree that the base game is good; the movement and shooting mechanics feel great. I think media reviews, in general, only have a limited time in which to play and review the game, so we wind up with initial impressions. I feel that with DLC there’s enough time for reviewers to play through the whole thing and get a…
True, but even the base game got glowing reviews from media outlets, which kinda makes it sting a bit more.
Curious to see if it’s worth the $40, because everything that Bungie’s showed me so far since Destiny 2's release date suggests that $40 is way too high. Understand, I’m not saying that it should be free (though it’d be nice), but here we are, a year after the initial release, and Bungie wants us to cough up more…
I was in college back in ‘03-’07 (sounds old now) and we had data caps. The cool thing was that they were tied to MAC addresses. With permission from the friends I made over the years, I had a list of addresses that I would spoof to whenever I got a notice that I was approaching my limit. Good times. Also, Netflix DVD…
Why does the header image remind me of “The Triplets of Belleville”?
GDI. I couldn’t even make to end of the song knowing that she’s gone. Now excuse this DBA while he cries quietly in his cubicle.
Agreed that this near impossible to create prefect terrain geometry. There’s a part of me that wonders if play testing, especially with open world games, might be better handled by machine learning.
Guessing/assuming it’s a geometry issue is easy, though granted it can be incorrect. What do you think the issue is?
It’s a good question and my guess would be that it’s easier to make a general zone a death zone than to figure out all the exact ways of breaching the wall in that area.
