I’m struggling with the inclusion of South Korea in that list. Especially since if I’ve understood correctly, and I really hope I’m corrected here if I have not, those harsh times of South Korea were under a right wing military dictatorship. However, I don’t quite understand how it actually belongs to that list.

I’m with you.  Debra is obviously embarrassed, and maybe should have just deleted it and said nothing more, but I can’t muster the outrage.  I give her a pass.  It’s not that big of a deal in this case.

She’s saying that she hopes Trump is sexually assaulted in prison. Debra Messing aside, we should not be happy about having a penal system where enduring repeated sexual violence is part of serving one’s sentence.

I don’t have any sympathy for Trump, but I have sympathy for all the sexual assault victims who see their trauma used as a joke. :/
