Tabloids really need to give the JonBenet Ramsey story a rest. Like, it’s been 2 decades and bringing up the story for money is just purely disgusting.
I was watching it regularly after Trevor Noah took over, hoping it would be good, and really tried to give it a chance to get better, but it’s just not as good and just makes me miss Jon Stewart. I’m glad that she’s getting the chance to be awesome on her own :)
All of the teenagers I see (I live a mile from a high school and a mall, they’re everywhere) wear running shorts and t-shirts that cover their shorts. I approve of that version of teenage athletic wear so maybe the pageant will go that route.
I still watch TDS and I still like it. But I really wanted Jessica to take over from Jon Stewart. I don’t know if she was considered but she seemed perfect for the job.
it doesn’t matter if it’s a swimsuit, yoga pants, athleisure suit... we’re still looking at 14-19 year old women in the wrong way. the character of a young woman has nothing to do with what her body looks like and whatever the hell she is wearing.
TWENTY SIX?
Seriously it’s like TDS went full-frat with Trevor Noah. The dude correspondents are pretty funny, but the comedy has taken a turn towards the fart joke end of the spectrum. Jon probably told fart jokes but he had a self-awareness and intellectual curiosity that is now absent. Rock on, Jessica. She deserves to get out…
I mean...small steps in the right direction? Idk..
Say goodbye to these!
Hooooraaaaaay!!!
Jessica’s one of those people whose very presence reminds me that I have done jackshit with my life. I’m going to go crawl under the blankets and eat doritos and cry.
Good for her - she’s hilarious and definitely too good for the current iteration of TDS.
I suspect that he said that because she had spent years making that threat and he just couldn't take it anymore.
If you inherit a car, you pay insurance on it. If it is a sports car, your premiums should be higher.
“And quite honestly, I’m not sure I’d really want to shoot some kid who broke into my house to steal my TV. It’s not worth it.”
I read the “kill yourself” comment as having been said when she’d already pulled the gun. Still pretty insensitive but it kind of sounds like he said it in a last attempt to avoid a massacre.
Well we could repeal the federal ban on gun violence research for starters. Perhaps with some numbers and a public advocacy campaign, similar to the successful ones we’ve employed for smoking, seat belts, etc., we could do something to curb the myth that guns in the home make people safer. As a society, if we can’t…
As an inherited item, I don’t often see this touched on in gun debates but imagine in another generation or two how the current run on guns will affect the population. Yikes.
This is the thing: the NRA members, the gun rights activists, never seem to understand that they’re only a good guy with a gun until they’re a bad guy with a gun. YES, YES, WE WANT TO TAKE YOUR GUNS AWAY, BECAUSE YOU MIGHT USE THEM TO KILL PEOPLE, YOUNG CHILDREN, MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILY, LAW ENFORCEMENT, WHOEVER.
