‘Stadium Lied To; Fans, Players Cheer Title They Didn’t Win’
You call that the tractor story?
Can you expand on this a little bit? Set the scene for me.
Holy crap. I clicked on the video and knew exactly where she is at (sign me up to be an investigative reporter, ESPN. I have a college degree, am in good shape, have all my teeth, and live in an apartment). Before everyone absolutely rags on Britt here, let me play devil’s advocate for just one second.
Yes...Giants fan outnumber A's fans all over the Bay Area...this is a fan map, not a territory map. Geographically Alameda County is officially A's territory (that means the Giants cannot build a stadium in Alameda county if they ever decided to ditch ATT PArk for whatever reason.
There is no public sanction for bandwagoning the Giants in the east bay. With the way the A's treat their fans (threatening to move, never investing in the team, shit stadium, etc...) its almost expected to be Giants fan. Sad.
There's a lot of fascinating communities out here on the internet, but The Chive is one of the more fascinating ones. (This is a good Chive primer http://www.theawl.com/2013/07/inside…)
I'm mildly irked he used the "daughtersister/mother/wife" rhetoric to explain why men should be mad about women being abused, but the rest of this was so spot-on, that I'll give him a pass.
Photographer: Do you want to jump, too?
and the foley on that scene might be even better.
That's because you're an asshole. And not just an asshole, but also a complete moron without even the most limited logical reasoning skills.
He's still affable and easy-going. He smiles and looks like he's having the most fun on the court. He's a great sound bite and Warriors fans LOVE him.
I'm with you. I LOVE Day-Day. I have since he was a Spartan. And I think comparing him then and now can only illuminate his brilliance. Draymond was NOT like this at MSU. He was affable and easy-going. He was smiling and laughing with opposing players and refs alike. Then, he gets to the Warriors and he recognized…
I dunno, this is not a reflection of her motives (of which I know not), but I find myself communicating similarly in professional settings. Part of it is being a good communicator (framing it so someone you disagree with just might listen), part of it (for me) is feeling like I'll get labelled angry/emotional/crazy if…
Exhibit #291,320 why Bud Selig sucks and not worthy of his forthcoming $6MM/year "retired salary".
Oh, F the A's. Wolff's been looking to move that team since the day he took over and the only reason why he wants to move to Silicon Valley is so he can start reeling in sweet, sweet, cash from the hi-tech companies. If he really wanted to stay in Oakland he could (there's been proposals made to him) but he doesn't…
Liccardo sees a no-lose situation for the city because its attorneys, led by famed antitrust lawyer Joe Cotchett, are handling the case on a contingency. The lawyers get paid only if they are successful.
the A's best option these days? get the Raiders a stadium in LA so they can knock down Mount Davis. Until the Raiders move back to Oakland in 2025
This makes for a really boring game of "Be best friends, Marry, Marry, Marry, Kill".
