@Damage: You seriously don't think that Les didn't have some way to call for help if things got really bad? The underwriters who insure him and the network would never allow them to put the main subject of a popular show in peril like that.

Even if it were true, is it really a bad thing? Maybe letting the "business" die so artists have more control over production and distribution of their craft is a good thing.

@Badlands99: In my case, I shoot video with my GH1 in a lot of evening/night/low-light situations, and getting a balance off a grey card is difficult because in those conditions it's pretty much black, and I have to pack light (passenger's seat of a tightly packed police cruiser, need to be able to get in and out

@David Hoch: Agreed. Though my problem is I've been typing for so long and doing so little writing by hand that typing is the only way I can take notes -and- pay attention. As soon as I start writing by hand I have to focus on writing so much that I can't take in any more information. It's seriously bad, I need to

@DeadWriter: Yeah I'm wondering what special paper towels she's using that makes her think she can go straight for the phone after handling chicken and only wiping her hands with a paper towel.

@(Xeraphim): Plenty of devices out there sell far less than their Apple equivalents, and are still considered greatly successful. As long as Notion Ink isn't expecting 3 million first-week sales, and has realistic sales goals overall, the Adam can be hugely successful without even putting a dent in the iPad.

@spam007: It worked once on my Captivate at pretty hard sensitivity, but hasn't since. Wondering about the quality of the accelerometer suddenly, because lord knows they nailed perfection with the GPS.

@stumble: When you turn it on, it does give you a small popup warning you that it will drain the battery slightly faster.

Hmm, it worked exactly one time, now I can't get it to come up at all. Weird! I swear I'm doing it right and have tried all the sensitivity settings.

I just got the Captivate today, after I was going back and forth trying to decide between it and the Streak, but the Streak started to sound like vaporware to me and I got tired of waiting for news on its release (I was literally standing in the AT&T store buying my Captivate when Giz posted this story, it was one of

@tande04: You made me wake up my wife from laughing, and she's across the house!

The shower is where I cry.

@JRae: I can't imagine that they wouldn't give him a membership, definitely give them a call if you can't do it through the website. Their phone support is second-to-none.

@trs: I don't even think that's strictly true anymore, last I checked (a week or two ago when a friend inquired) most banking services are available to everyone now. I think it's only insurance (?) that requires some connection to the military.

Wow.

@Zordon: Corn syrup. My wife's grandmother (100 in December) says they used it for just about everything back then.

You guys are missing out by not hiring a Moscow, Idaho intern.

This is actually just a test of Amazon's new self-delivering box technology. The box transports itself from the warehouse to your door, cutting out the need for expensive trucks, fuel and drivers.

@mrm: Hear, hear!

The show has been seeming to become a tad thin in my opinion. It's still good and I'm not saying any shark jumping has occurred, but they're really stretching too little material over an hour, and relying on Tori, Grant and Kari for half (sometimes more) of each show. Which is okay, I don't mind them most of the
