@threadofgrace: Me? No, but I married one, so... honorary? No rumbles, though, please. I'm big, but frail.

@Cinnamoncanuck: I worked at a UPS Store in a small town and regularly got asked questions about shipping or "where's my package" (which I wouldn't possible know because I was unaffiliated with the transportation side) whenever I dared to venture to a grocery store or any other common area.

Just a heads up, I installed the Really Slick screensaver pack the other day (Win7 Home Premium 64bit) and went through windows' screensaver chooser to preview each one and play with the settings. I went to bed and when I got up the computer was just chugging, completely bogged down.

@fiman16: XBMC is software that runs on a whole bunch of different hardware. I use an old desktop running XP with XBMC for my media collection.

Now playing

@maryinstereo: Depending on where you are, it might be crazy, but I went from WA state to FL to watch the STS-130 launch in February, with only a bit over a week's notice. It was more than worth it, especially with so few left. If you haven't had the chance to see it in person, I encourage you to do so, and if you

@GB Crush: My Windows taskbar is always anchored at the top, does that make me a rebel too?

@msweston: Settings Fullscreen: On

@femme-bot: It's interesting because not only did 29 coal miners in W.VA sell their bodies to hard labor, they ended up selling their lives. Same goes for the thousands of dead and tens of thousands of wounded U.S. soldiers who sold their bodies to the government to use... with the threat that if they didn't follow

@mfusion: I was always under the assumption that a smaller/lighter laptop with higher specs was at more of a premium than a giant 17" laptop. I'd certainly pay more for a 13" than for a 17" with similar specs. 14-15 is a happy medium but anything over that seems massive to me. I haven't been in the market lately

If commercials have taught me anything, real diversity among women is a white woman with blond hair, a white woman with brown hair, a white woman with red hair, a black woman with black hair, and an asian woman with black hair.

@timgray: If your devices play MP4 files, you can use XenonMKV to extract the video and reencode the audio and build an MP4. MKV is just a container, so its just extracting the video rather than reconverting it, and takes very little time, less than 15 minutes for a full 1080p movie. I use it to get MKVs into MP4s

@sublimelazy: I love that the examples he used are actually accurate, whereas I know people have called him things like "Dickhole" (I know this because I called him that myself). He is not, in fact, a urethra. That might be worth getting hurt feelings over, but if you're going to be a bigot and homophobe, you

@downstairs: On my podunk DSL, loading [CNN.com] takes too much bandwidth. Sending an email from thunderbird through google apps SMTP takes 15 seconds minimum. I have to preload Youtube videos at least 3/4 of the way before I even dare to start playing them. And forget gaming!

My wife called hers Rebecca. When we started dating she had to change the name. Rebecca is my mother's name.

@Stallion: Or dumb luck. I cooked a steak to near perfection once, better than I'd ever had in any restaurant (though I don't eat steak at restaurants very often), but haven't even come close since. :(
