Finally, a book with no subtext. Take note, world of publishing!

Blood?

it reads like a very silly, very cutting parody of the worst excesses of ’90s literary horror

Actually screamed when I read the headline.

Liz Lemon David Zaslav: “Cross promotional. Deal mechanics. Revenue streams. Jargon. Synergy.”
Jack Donaghy Discovery Inc. board: “That’s the best presentation I’ve ever seen. Get started right away.”

“Irredeemable” is such a strong word, too. A lot of movies are bad, but this makes it sound bad on a MORAL level. Like, this movie DID something that can’t be forgiven. This movie cheated on its wife. This movie forgot its son’s birthday. Don’t ask this movie where it was on January 6th.

Interestingly enough, if you squint hard enough, that movie has the most villians from DC Superman has ever faced, basically a knock off Injustice League,  the bad guy is a Lex Luthor clone, bad superman is Bizarro, the machine is Braniac and Richard Pryor is Mr. Mxyzptlk, the girl that gets turned to an android or

sources referred to the movie as “irredeemable” after test screenings.

I’d argue as goofy as it is, The Guyver movie is about the best live action anime adaption we have gotten. The creature effects look great and true to the manga and anime.

Prime AV.

How did I miss all these years that Porkins and that “Top... Men” guy in Raiders of the Lost Ark were portrayed by the same actor?

I’m all in for the Reeves version.

The Dijon Wars will emulsify them.

He also directed the excellent pilot episode of Reaper, a show that should have been given more legs.

Solid list. When Looper and The Sixth Sense doesn’t break an actor’s top 5, then you know it’s an all-timer acting career.

I personally would take out “The Kid” and “Look Who’s Talking” and instead add “The Last Boy Scout” and “Death Becomes Her.” Personal honorable mention for the glorious mess of “Hudson Hawk” and I

At least G.I. Jane got a mention at the Oscars!

That was Will Smith’s biggest hit in years.
