I don’t know if these define anything more than my taste in movies, presumably they reveal something of me also, but they’re pretty much what immediately popped into my head:

Nightmare fuel for young me was Maximillian.
I don’t believe HAL became (anymore) sentient, more that it was a problem of conflicting orders and it chose the purely logical solution. Although I think that’s only explained in the second book - I don’t know if it is in the 2010 film.
Unhinged Ulric
Put it on around Christmas and you can have slay rides.
Enraged Ernie
I’ve enjoyed a few food related manga but have always been a bit put off by those that go for, for lack of a better term, fantasy foods like in Toriko. I think because if the point of the story is the food then I can’t wrap my head around unreal dishes.
Read Sandman Slim by Richard Kadrey. I’d been intrigued by the movie poster style covers on the series so picked this up and started it a while ago, however got 200 or so pages in and wasn’t feeling it. Probably fatigue with the badass back from Hell and out for revenge story line that didn’t offer me anything…
They don’t title movies like that any more!
I’m hoping to do a pared down pre Infinity War Marvel movie single sitting re-watch. Probably Civil War, Homecoming and Ragnarok. Maybe Age of Ultron first if there’s time.
Her eyes are so dead. I don’t like the term sell-out, but I’m pretty sure I saw her soul pouring into Satans clawed paws as her debt came due. At the end of the video. Yes, I watched it all. Hail Kitty!
Pizza, beer & Speed.
Read Genshiken Second Season Vol. 12. Didn’t know it was the last volume!
I enjoyed PR:U at the cinema more than PR. With both having such rote stories the enjoyment for me comes from the characters and the fights. PR:U gets right into it with giant robots fighting each other and then kaiju and John Boyega is a much better lead than whoever portrayed that wall of drying bland in the first.
Praed or Connery in Robin of Sherwood?
The Park Bench by Chaboute. 328 pages of near wordless black and white artwork based on a park bench that made me happy. Of course it’s not really just about the bench, although it is more than just a setting for the lives we see on, in and around it. Stories that go from fuuny to sad and a little schmaltzy. It also…
Chasm?
Read Vol. 18 Blue Exorcist. Really liking the expanded focus on the characters other than the lead. Frankly I’m finding their development more interesting and hoping it continues to be an ensemble piece. The over arching story is picking up pace also and I feel it won’t end well for Shima.
“a handful of cyborg soldiers”
Just saw Game Night. Funny with a decently bonkers story and some nice touches like establishing shots that make the city look like a scale model.
