To play devil’s advocate, he did privately apologize to at least two of the women mentioned in the story, numerous years ago. Does that count for nothing?

No, but one could argue that many of these encounters were in a professional setting. The women who made these allegations appear to all be comedians, producers, interns or other show biz types. One of the points of all this coverage is to illustrate the rather lawless nature of that comedic environment.

What crimes could she possibly be charged with? Frankly, while her catfish victims are innocent rubes, they’re the ones who send nude pics to a teen. Obviously it would be a miscarriage of justice to charge the unknowing victims, but what could Becca be legally charged with? Being a dumb asshole?

Also, the question of WHY she solicited nude pics from all these women is a valid one, and the answer’s certainly not clear to me. Thus, her sexual orientation is a valid one too.

No offense but that is a poor legal analysis. How is that not murder? She set him up to drown and didn’t help him. In fact, she TOOK the paddle away from him.

Yes. Legally, drowning is a very foreseeable result of sabotaging someone’s vessel. Murder requires malice aforethought, which is clearly established here. They could have even got her on reckless homicide so this result is perplexing. Here’s hoping this woman gets hit by a train when she gets out in 18 months to 4…

With all due respect, what is “complicated” about her admitting to removing a plug in his kayak that caused it to fill/sink into icy water? That doesn’t sound like an admission someone would make by accident.
