I think the creators not only haven't embraced new design philosophies, but they are ignoring the hallmarks that made past Final Fantasy games successful. I couldn't agree more, and I was even on the receiving end of the buggy PS3 version. Every time I want to complain about the problems I ran into, I remember how I was mesmerized by that game world for a week straight and have recommended it to all my friends.
