Some really advanced neuroscience idiots who are hoping to provide a better alternative to ECT for those with life-threatening, treatment-resistant depression.

The Yorks were made for camp. Please please please please let Fergie and Beatrice and Eugenie get an invite. Bonus points if they tag-team with the actresses who portray them so campily on “The Windsors.”

Our pediatrician prescribed our (perfectly healthy) baby some nasal spray and baby Tylenol. When we protested “But she’s not sick!” she just smiled and said, “Oh, she will be. And it’ll be 2AM and the pharmacies will all be closed.”

Thing is, most of these people — including the one you’re making fun of here frame their approach to the afterlife as a belief or hope. They’re not making a positive truth claim that there IS an afterlife, nor are they ascribing to it rational justifications.

Eh, not every atheist philosopher/theorist of mind is a materialist, just as not every materialist is a determinist etc. There are plenty of atheist dualists and compatibilists out there — the possibility that consciousness could possibly be independent of the physical mind, or that some shred of “self” could survive

Every time I watch this song (the official music video once, this live performance) my main takeaway is that Brandon Urie is insanely adorable.

“Sure, he did it again, but his victim should have known better than to go home with him! His face was all over the media as a kidnapper and rapist! I’ve gotta say, it kind of seems like this one’s on her for not being more careful about getting kidnapped and raped by this guy.”

Honestly? I’d buy it. If a girl at my podunk high school looked exactly like Hilary Duff, but went by Katie Westbrook, I’d never have assumed she was Hilary Duff — because the Hilary Duffs of the world don’t change their name to Katie Westbrook and attend podunk high schools just for kicks and giggles. Heck, if Katie

I don’t know which is worse, either. Have you watched “13th”? (Documentary about racialized mass incarceration as a legacy of slavery. It’s on Netflix.) Short but super good!

Ah yes, I was referring only to the arrested ones. ;)

This guy: “He just kept a mentally-ill human in a cage and tortured them for a year, I’m sure he doesn’t pose a threat to society, let’s let him go”

Not saying it’s not a fair complaint! Procreation-less sex is great! Yay, birth control! Yay, family planning!

I can’t think about his organic farms and traditional town planning without picturing Harry Enfield as Charles.

Naming your subsequent children after their deceased older siblings was pretty common in medieval and early modern European history, fwiw.

Oh, absolutely. I’m pretty sure she hated her children, just going by how she treated them. And wasn’t there something (a letter, maybe?) where she griped that she loved gettin’ it on with Albert but was pissed off that it meant she kept getting pregnant with kids she didn’t want?

Yikes :/ I wouldn’t want to mess with any of the -carditises. So glad you’re well!

Endocarditis?

Heck, I have to give my child a shot (well, suppository) up the bum every day because of her chronic constipation. A one-and-done? Sign me up. She lives in perpetual constipated misery.

This is going to sound like silly “advice,” but reddit’s legal advice subreddit is (sometimes) useful. It might be worth posting there, as well!

Congratulations!
