I want to come out to my brother and maybe, depending on how it goes with my brother, to my parents as well. It's something that will keep bothering me forever if I don't.

French guys are super hot. Nice catch!
Seems like it`d be a bitch to clean.
I'm really sorry things got so bad, but I'm glad you're still with us and I hope everything comes up Idiotking soon. For what it's worth, you're one of my favorite random internet strangers!
I still sing bits of it to myself sometimes. Going Through the Motions and Walk Through the Fire, most often. I really want Whedon to direct a write a feature length musical someday. That'd be awesomesauce.
Yeah, as much as I liked the show, that whole trial plot line was the worst.
I am playing it while reclining on a couch though! I connect my laptop to my tv and use a 360 controller to play. Even with that though, I'm not feeling the game. I'd love to get on to The Witcher 3, but I don't want to skip the second one.
Oddly enough, I had the exact opposite experience. I enjoyed Transitor's world and specially its soundtrack, but it left me cold. The most likely culprit is the battle system, which I never really enjoyed.
Yeah, Trials and Tribulations is definitely the best game in the series for me. All the cases tie together, each one has a twist on the kind of legal case that it is (unlike the other games, not all cases in this game start out as a murder, for instance), and Godot is easily the best prosecutor the series has ever had.
Definitely, there was some strategy to it. But my main point is exactly that: you are basically well served by some combination of ravagers and commandos at least 75% of the time. Sentinel, Medic, Saboteur and Synergist were not really that useful for most of the fights, which made the battle system more repetitive…
I've been working way too much to play games recently, but I'm taking two weeks off starting tomorrow (though I'll still work from home sometimes), and plan on maybe finishing up The Witcher 2 and AssCreed IV: Black Flag.
I thought the FFXIII system was very clever as well, and your description of it as a metagame approach is spot on. Instead of manually setting the characters to cast whatever type of move you needed, you simply changed your party layout to do just that. However, the enemies you commonly fought didn't really require…
It's a great album though. And that song always reminds me of The Handmaiden's Tale, just because they use the same Bible verse.
I'm sorry the walkthroughs are so tough to do, because they're among my favorite AVClub features, though Cue & A has definitely been scratching that itch!
I really like this feature, and the music on Fargo this season was great, but what happened to the Walkthrough features? Feels like we haven't had one in a while.
Definitely! Even with its shortcomings I would easily recommend it, and can't wait to see how Season 2 shapes up.
She's my favorite little Jewie this side of St. Louis!
I think Kimmy Schmidt had a good first season, but it seems like the kind of show that will really blossom in the next season or so, as the show finds its voice. A lot of it was great, but things like the trial at the end dragged way too long. I'm looking forward to season two!
I rarely say this, but the show could really have gone with more standalone investigation episodes. Considering this show's tone and writing, it would be like Darkest Timeline Veronica Mars, with superpowers!
I don't think this show truly had a single outright bad season, just some that were stronger than others. I don't hate season 1 either, it was what first made me fall in love with the show. But it doesn't really hold a candle to much of what came after.
