There was a TMNT 1?

I've been slowly playing it on an emulator and I find that it mostly holds up pretty well. It probably helps that I played this game millions of times when I was a kid, so I have some grasp of what to do, though.

I mean, the game is still kind of fun in a God of War-ish way. And there is some exploration within each level for secrets, as well as the need to revisit some levels after gaining more powerups. But don't go in expecting an expansive overworld or anything.

Eh, Lords of Shadow isn't a very exploration-heavy game, unfortunately. It's more of a pretty short action levels game. I guess there's some throwback to the old style Castlevania games, but I admit I was disappointed it wasn't a 3D Symphony of the Night.

Final Fantasy Tactics, much like Final Fantasy XII (which not coincidentally takes place in the same universe and is by the same creative team) suffers from having a really well crafted story and setting but a plot that is absolutely incompetent in actually showcasing any of this story or setting.

I'm definitely the type to fall for these addictive, cheaply made apps, but Marvel Puzzle Quest didn't really grab me for long. Maybe it's because I was recently clean from Candy Crush or because Spellfall received a blatantly exploitative update recently, but I deleted MPQ as soon as the time restraints and money

The missions in Arkham City still require plenty of stealth and gargoyling, but the open world is much more brawly by design. It's still a pretty great game, so if you're enjoying Asylum there's no reason you shouldn't enjoy City as well.

I'm playing through Dragon Age: Origins and, while I'm mostly really enjoying it, I also think the battles can be very tough and I'm sick of inventory management. Where are you in the game? Because while I liked Redcliffe and The Tower of Magi, Orzammar is a DRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG.

The only way I got through AssCreed 3 was playing it while watching Cheers. I watched the entirety of Seasons 4 and 5 doing that.

I also stopped playing The Witcher 2 because I kept dying in combat! I played the first one to completion, but I put The Witcher 2 on Hard, started dying way too much and then moved on to something else. It wasn't so much that it was hard, it's that it was frustrating because I could not figure out how to get better

Nowadays I find the Water Temple relatively simple, after playing through it a gazillion times. But I remember when I was a kid I had to wait a few weeks for the next edition of Nintendo World, the Brazilian equivalent to the Nintendo Power magazine, so I could beat it and advance.

The timed aspect is very forgiving though, and with very little time management you can basically forget about it for doing most of what you need to do. It's mostly there to organize the events in the world (as in, there are events that only happen during certain hours of the the three days the game takes place in)

Nintendo games never really go down in price. Your best bet is waiting for one of the big chains to do a Buy One Get One Free, which happens every once in a while. But they're always fairly high quality games, at least.

Yeah, the Pokemon games are enjoyable mindless fun, but there's not enough on them to justify buying another so close to X/Y. A lot of the positive things I've read about ORAS seems to be heavily tinted by nostalgia, and I'm just not into Ruby/Sapphire like I was into the original games and Gold/Silver.

I was mostly referring to the GBC ones, which are amazeballs. But I had a Virtual Boy as a kid, and I never found it as bad as its reputation. I mean, everything was red and horrible, but the 3D effect was impressive, and Mario Tennis was a lot of fun. It's a strange case of very good games being developed for a bad

I have the XL and it's definitely worth it. Having said that, with a new model coming out next year, you'd do well to hold out a bit.

But who needs stealth when you have giant mallets?

I'd kill for another Wario Land game. Those are still among my favorite 2D platformers.

Eh, she's grey enough that she can be considered an antihero. Her hotness transcends barriers!

Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman, duh.
