“Just as kneeling during the national anthem is somehow an insult to not only the flag, but also to the military, the police and also to first responders.”

This is the last straw.

Also, pulling some classically wild conflation. Just as kneeling during the national anthem is somehow an insult to not only the flag, but also to the military, the police and also to first responders. Banning the confederate flag is somehow an affront to this guy’s right to bear arms under the constitution of the

if you ban my flag you are stepping on my second Amendment right

That quote is very, very misleading. He said it in response to the organizer saying they wouldn’t be able to let all the elected officials speak at the gathering. And the fact that they were red, white, and blue is just peak Chevrolet.

If only there was some tie in between the Ford and the subject matter...

$kaycog is a national treasure who truly deserves this.

I’m speechless, but with 36,895 comments, I haven’t always been speechless.  This post is the best prize ever!  Thanks so much, Andrew!

I’m not even surprised she had the most posts. I’ve been reading and commenting here for probably the whole decade (or close to it) and have read countless comments from and “comment of the day” awards from $kaycog during that time.

Wilkes resident here: it’s privately-owned, and one of the owners is kind of a dick who won’t let anybody drive on it. There was some talk about the guy that owns CMS and the ZMAX Dragway buying it and re-opening it, but I think he decided to just build a new track altogether closer to Charlotte.
