I think this whole article, and a lot of the commenters are missing the point that was being made. Hulst didn't say that more polygons = deeper characters. What he DID say, as far as I understood it, was that better specs means less constraints involved in expressing the deepness that already exists in a well

On one hand, I partly agree with you, as far as feeling like devs and gamers are not inherently racist, and I think it would be a step back to need a "black games" and "white games" section-

People would have no issue playing a game with a gay lead if the game didn't make a point of it.

I can understand why a game like this would fail. It's too... vague. Unless my understanding of it is wrong, I just see a big deathmatch with a deep character editor.

Because parenting is easy, right? =]

I recommend reading a whole comment before jumping to conclusions. I never said the kid was the one that had to make a judgement. I also never said parents don't have to be responsible. I ALSO never said that suing the company was the right thing to do, or that the company was at fault.

There's usually at least two places in the registry (at least 3 on 64bit) that I know of that can hold keys that launch programs when you start windows.

That's a very narrow and pessimistic view of the situation.

Picking up a credit card and buying something with it is very different than accidentally buying things on a phone.

The amusing thing about your comment is how often I've heard the same "between keyboard and chair" joke from every customer support agent regardless of their own level of understanding of computers/technology. I never assume that anyone in tech support really knows what they're doing- they all THINK they know better

It's very tempting to complain. But we all know the reposts are inevitable at this point.

If only it was just the 14 year olds. =[

I have trouble believing Facebook itself consumes 2gb of memory. You likely have a different problem, or your build/install of Chrome is broken.

The trick would be not to install those toolbars in the first place. Most of the things that bog down "Windows" are avoidable.

At the same time, there's no such things as kids matches, while there are games specifically made for kids.

In fairness, the parental controls aren't always among the most well known features of the phone, and parents often don't have the time to fish through the phone for every setting. I've had my iPhone 4 since shortly after they came out in Canada, and I only just learned from the comments here that you can set it to

Holy ads batman. Can't get the whole article/video for x number of seconds of advertising....? I'm all for using ads on the web, but there's a point where they get to be too invasive.

I honestly think that there's tons of potential for competitive entertainment software on television, but I think the biggest failing so far is trying to associate with sports. Video games are not and never will be sports. They so not share a common audience. Of course sports networks don't want games- games are
