Could get a 2003 S500 for that kinda money. More luxury lappy.

Lemme get this straight, $90k, convertible, heavy, wall of torque TT engine.

I’d rather have ANYTHING by VAG in the engine bay. Anything. Audi V8, a turbo VR6, any fucking thing. Even a diesel.

(Repost of my earlier post which I’ll just copy everywhere luddites hate on autonomous cars)

If I ever ride bikes it’s gonna be some back to basics Ducati or something, and I’ll wear some Marlon Brando gear, a biker jacket and jeans and some boots or Chuck Taylors. Stylish as hell.

C-Class Estate jacked up and shortened to me more muscular. Is slightly more to the C than the GLA is to the A.

Why? Because it’s a dynamic mess as a convertible.

I don’t understand the obsession with something super special put into something mundane. The new turbo 8 fits the character of a go-fast A6 way more than this V10 meant for a mid engined small supercar.

“Mine has me mumbling like a nutcase.”

Engine was REPLACED AFTER 22K. What.

I was kinda hoping the Macan Turbo would be on par performance wise.

They are still amazing cars and congratulations by the way!

Ferrari V8s sound like two eager four bangers or a motorbike. Neither of which is appealing to me.

Doug, wait, it’s not quite the time to eulogize them. Look, the 5-Series is doing great in Europe still. German businesspeople and whatever clock enormous miles on these things with no need for an X5.

The S-Class gets hauled around to meetings and other busy rich person things.

How exactly is a floor-mounted shifter “sporty”? It’s still auto right? Why do AMG cars have a tiny little shifter instead of the column stalk? It is NOT A MANUAL ANYWAY.

An iCar would probably be huge design-wise as Apple is a design powerhouse. I'd envision a European-style car, as ol' Steve was fond of European style washing machines.

I actually think all this "active safety" (euphemism for detuned self-driving for legal purposes I think) stuff is pretty awesome.

In this class, two Germans are already non-RWD, and BMW is moving away from RWD as well (next gen 1- and 2-Series will be FWD, as will the X1, as will the little 2 sedan).

OMG CULTURAL APPROPRIATOR ALERT
