What's surprising to me is not so much VAG's platform sharing but that they only just started to brag about MQB.

First of all Panamera is a unique platform and probably shares a lot with the Cayenne just because of shared drivetrains (eg engine mounts etc maybe subframe are similar).

OMG I just researched used prices and it's cheaper than comparative 5-Series! It's a 7-Series with a hunchback that costs as much as a new 1-Series!

I like it although a 5-Series estate is way prettier than this AND the sedan, lighter, and just better.

I drove the new automatic A-Class Mercedes on a highway for a second.

This is Fast and Furious 2001 not GTA.

Sorry but I loved the Gone in 60 Seconds remake (never seen the original);

This, and the Mazda CX-5 are the most beautiful crossovers right now.

Why do people use 'Gallic' and 'Teutonic' for French and German cars, or "Anglo-Saxon" for English speakers?

WTF is with those bumpers? They seem to be designed to chop off pedestrians' feet before running them over with a shark nose.

A BMW without the Hofmeister kink? Or is it the most twisted and cool Hofmeister kink variation ever?

Ah, poor old Jaguar.

What? I'd never buy that with the excellent and amazingly finished Golf mk7 around. Ever. Better than a Corolla, sure.

It'd be epic to tour in this. Actually an S63 is perfectly fine thanks. No leather floor mats, that's just stupid alright?

I'm European and I'm totally psyched for the ATS and CTS.

GM tried to take Caddy global and that didn't work, do you think it would this time around? UK journos loved the current-gen CTS and called it a worthy 5-Series competitor. THIS is the time to bring it back to Europe

Jaguar, however, is in many segments (with more to come) a credible alternative to Benz/Audi/BMW cars. Until the E-Class rework, new A6 and new 5-Series, the XF was a big ol player in its class. Same with the XJ which has light aluminium tech and great driving dynamics, and holds its own against the new A8. They are

I said it before and I'll say it again. Lincoln (and Acura) MUST go in the footsteps of Cadillac, Infiniti and Lexus. Stop making rebadged FWD luxo barges, that's unambitious and unsophisticated, and just not what a premium manufacturer does.

This is very impressive, regardless of how terribly offended and mortified you are.

I disagree about the plebe-based brands.
